johnpsc
I've ordered the Bluetooth adapter and I understand my Blackberry 7520 will not upload my telephone book to the Z1. So, it's time to chuck the Blackberry for a phone that will take advantage of the Z1's Bluetooth capablity. :D Please post here with the model number of your cell phone if your phone transmits the entire telephone directory to the Z1. Please note any Z1 features that your telephone does not support. Also, put the brand and model number of the phone in the Subject line if it works. This will help anyone searching for cellphone compatibility. Also, is this capability tied to the OBEX support in the phone?
Hodo
Don't know about specific phones, but Verizon cripples the BlueTooth capabilities of every phone they release -- there are quite a few web sites out there, however, that show you how to "hack back" those capabilities. guitar7272
Well I had posted about the Q, but it looks like you own one of them judging from your signature line so disregard. :D I dont think it will transfer the entire phonebook at a time though I havent tried it personally. My Treo 700W is really getting on my nerves. First, it wouldn't upload ANY contacts (gotta do 'em all by hand) second, it randomly diconnects every call I make/receive. There's no rhyme or reason to it, just completely random. I'm about to get a Razr.
Guest
Verizon sucks.. That's why I buy unlocked GSM phones off Ebay. I have heard so many horror stories about poor customer service, or them trying to extort their customers by disabling features in their phones.
Guest
Sprint 700p. Transfers the whole phonebook. The only problem I have had is the caller id mix up. But that is a phone issue, not a Pioneer issue. You can see my other posts for details. Other than that it works good.

I have a Verizon LG VX8300 that loaded the phone book. The phone would try and send 10 contacts at a time...but the Z1 would only accept one at a time. But every one went just fine. Verizon does disable some OBEX features, but by no means all of them!
johnpsc
I replaced the Blackberry with a Motorola Q, which appeared to be ready to upload the entire contacts list, but the Z1 card reader cycled out after the first entry. A user on Howard Forums claimed to upload his from a Q to the Z1. He has never responded to my email about that. And there have been other reports that phone books were sucessfully uploaded to the Z1 from non-Verizon systems.
