Two_Cold
Has anyone here installed an Xbox in a car? I installed one and a loud buzzing is coming out of the speakers. I am using a modified sine wave inverter, so I guess I will have to buy a pure sine wave inverter. There is no noise if I plug it in to the wall. Can anyone recommend a pure sine wave inverter? Is there another solution?
tillithz
yes, they make a power supply for the xbox that is dc. google it cuz i dont recall where it is. the noise is cuz of the ac-dc-ac-dc converting going on. cars are a very noisy enviroment.
Two_Cold
I've been looking but there doesn't seem to be a DC cable available. It seems that this is a common problem with the Xbox. It requires a very clean power source and a car's power is anything but clean. From what I have read, the pure sign wave inverter is the only solution.
tillithz
yeah its an actual power supply. like you would have to open the xbox1 up and replace the guts of the power supply thats there now. Ill look later and see if i can find it as well

dub
Actually I have installed Xbox's into cars all the time. I just use a regular inverter. Matter of fact I use a cheap 500W inverter. No problems for me...
