danfros
HI, I had my AVIC-Z2 profesionaly installed. I could have done it myself but no time to do it. Just some background. Well after the unit was installed When you go in to the menu then information and XM status it always said no connection and no radio ID but there was a signal. They told me its working fine don't wory about it. After about a month i started to get static, signal fading and no signal on the radio. I went back to the staus screen and no it says no signal as well and no connection and no radio ID. So i got a new XM module and installed it with a new cable and a new antenna connected. Same problem as the old module. So i guess it's somehting with the head deck. Any one else have this problem? Also does everyones unit say not connected and no radio ID with a signal? Thanks for the input.

danfros
I have the Pioneer GEX-P920XM
nymustang77
I had the same problem. I called Pioneer and they said to make sure I have a wire connected from the data output to the head unit. Check and make sure you have that connected.
KillaICM
I have this same problem. I connected my xm to my ipod module then to the navi deck. I get xm channels and a signal but it says I have no signal and i am not registered.
KillaICM
Nvm, I guess it's only for the navtraffic unit. Does anyone know if it displays the info even if you don't have the service?
whtcrxghst
Only the GEXP10XMT will display connection status and the radio id because that info is transferred through its data cable. If you have the GEXP920XM, it will NOT display that info but will work perfectly
smooth_caramel
Radio ID should show. I have Navtraffic hooked up with no data cable , another story. Anyway, Yes, the status does not show, but the ID does.
