revlimit
I recently installed a D3 in my car and I did the bypass for the navi and video. But now the navi voice guidance doesn't come on. It will pause the music for a few second but no voice command. I was wondering does this have anything to do with the mute cable I grounded for the bypass. Anyone have this problem? And yes I did make sure I turn on the navi voice guidance in the menu.
necro
I was wondering does this have anything to do with the mute cable I grounded for the bypass. Nope. Not related to the mute cable. Try resetting your D3.
revlimit
tried resetting several times
lseguy1
Then you have a defective D3.
Ashhong
Have you tried undoing the bypass to see if it works fine? If it does, then you obviously did the bypass wrong. If it doesn't...sounds defective.
MisFit
maybe you accidetally pulled out one of the front left speaker wires when you did the bypass, do you have music through that speakr? and did you move the mute wire before you grounded it?
revlimit
I'm getting music from all speakers. I'll try to reverse everything to see if that helps.
silversrt8
Finally somebody with the same problem as mine! I can't get nav voice either. I have no clue!
LivermoreBrian
There is actually a volume setting for guidance voice. It is in the same place where the ANNOYING beeping noise (when you hit any button or touch the screen) volume control is. If you turned down the voice controll all the way along with the beep, you wont get any sound. Try checking that.
silversrt8
I have already checked that. My voice guidance is on and loud. No go there!
knecoli22
I recently installed an AVIC-D2. I have the same issue. Voice Guidance and Beep volume is up all the way, yet I do not hear them. All other audio (XM, Video, iPod) works great from all speakers. I have not yet performed the bypass.
