PaisanNYC
wow! for $249, you get a "hackable" GPS running Linux, comes with a 7" 16x9 screen, 20GB harddrive, turn-by-turn directions, powered by NavTeq, two usb ports, and more... http://www.woot.com/ Gotta love woot! steve310
I was JUST looking at that. The screen size is awesome, but they were saying there is a lot of drawbacks because of the SiRF II chipset vs. SiRF III. Something like 10 minutes to find satellites. Not bad for the price though.. PaisanNYC
Ive personally never seen a 7" portable gps unit. This could be a poor man's Z1/Z2! LOL Just velcro this baby over the factory doubledin head unit. When you want to change a radio station, or just park the car, pull the unit off the velcro and voila! Instant security system
ShakAttack15
i think when it comes to off brand navs, you get what you pay for.
felixm477
its a nice concept but i doubt the functionality/quality is going to be any good atleast when compared to dedicated "built for" gps systems at $249 that sounds like a watered down pocket pc. always keep in mind that you get what u paid for and it will end up costing you more when you later on decide the features or quality arent what you wanted and have to go buy another unit. That's because a spammer decided to resurrect this thread along with about 2 dozen others. Just so he could get his post in the forsale forum locked
