nymustang77
Hey guys, I'm about to buy a XM Traffic modulator for my AVIC N1. But on the product it said that I will need to upgrade to a CNDV50MTP Nav disc. These disc are going for 250 dollars!!! Is that right??? I saw a CNDV50MT on ebay for 50 bucks. The only difference is that it doesnt have the P at the end of the model number. Are these the same disc?? Or do I have to buy a 250 dollar disc?? Please give me some heads up on this. Thanks
whtcrxghst
They are the same disk, but if you are going to spend the money, get the CNDV60 disks. They are the most current right now. You can buy them off ebay, but try and get the originals--some people have had problems with the ones that are copies BTW: If you use these new disks, it will disable your ability to watch movies and use the nav while moving
nymustang77
Yeah I will get the real copies from ebay. Thanks for the info. That sucks that I cant watch movies any more while driving. Is that still true with a 5 speed??? Because as you kno we dont have a park gear.
whtcrxghst
Yep. The only way to get it back it to take apart the N1 and solder on the board
nymustang77
So on my 5 speed how does it no that im not moving if I cant put it in park
cntrylvr79
You don't put the vehicle in park, you set the parking brake. That's how any of the avics know the vehicle is not moving.
