steve310
I started this project a few weeks ago, but last night I made something out of wood. I figured I might as well post progress on here just in case anyone else with a full size Chevy might want to do something along these lines. Eventually it will be wrapped in the vinyl that you can see in the third picture (its the closest match I could find). The wood one is different from the cardboard one because the mounting angle was too steep the first time.

SWINGRRRR
Looks good. Thought about doing something like that in my Dodge. I want to put a 12 or 15 in the center console.
steve310
I want to put a 12 or 15 in the center console. I was thinking about doing a full console and doing that, but it would take too long for me. I've had the D3 sitting in my room for about 3 weeks now and I want it in haha. Later on I might get a small amp and put a set of components in there tho.
steve310
I wrapped the sides myself, but the top is proving to be more difficult....

jimmy303
Hey, someone knows how to use a router.......nice job, man.....
jimmy303
Use a heat gun to soften up the vinyl as you lay it down, pulling any excess and wrinkles to an unnoticeable spot. Select Products http://www.sem.ws/
jimmy303
Careful how much heat you use, if you go overboard, you will end up with permanent shiny spots, which is fine, if you REALLY like the Armor-All look. Oh, and vinyl is flammable.
