mikek
I will not work. You can only rip by inserting CDs.
geoffp
Will the AVIC only rip .cda music from cd's. I know it can play .mp3's off a cd, but will it also rip the .mp3's to its own format on the hard drive?
shotgun_customs
It will not rip MP3's, only CD's.

shotgun_customs
No, the only way to upload music to the hard drive is by CD. Can't do it w/ the USP connector, which isn't compatible w/ the Z series. Can't connect the hard drive to a computer and transfere. The USB adaptor is just for playing music from a jump drive. The USB adaptor is just for playing music from a jump drive. the manual for the CD-UB100 (USB adapter) sais that it is touch operational with the Z1. Looks like you cant transfer the music to the hard drive of the Z1 but you can have a usb flash drive with all of you music hooked up to it and you can play them that way
