duc996 Posted July 11, 2007 Report Share Posted July 11, 2007 i just ordered a d3 for my 2003 tahoe z71 with bose but without onstar. i ordered: pac os2bose and cm1 pac swips metra 992003 gm multi kit antenna adapter cdi200 ipod cable and the d3 of course is there anything else i need for the install? from doing many searches i think i have all the info i need to do the install. just to double check the green vss wire is going to be on a piggyback on the factory harness. for the illumination i need to find the brown wire going into the headlight switch. is this correct? also where can i find the reverse light wire? shotgun_customs Posted July 17, 2007 Report Share Posted July 17, 2007 The ill wire in the harness does not switch the Z1 from day to night mode. You will have to catch a wire at the headlight switch or the convence cluster so that the AVIC will know that the lights are on. Which ever wire you use, make sure that it goes to 12V w/ the lights on and that it works w/ the auto head lights. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
