jbhorne
I have always wondered where the IR sensor is...on the remote and on the AVIC. Any ideas? LOL!

mickeyvnminnie
I have always wondered where the IR sensor is...on the remote and on the AVIC. Any ideas? LOL! It may use RF.
caadoptees
I use it all the time with my Z2 (that is when the unit is not too hot). Yes, it does need to be on the right side of my steering wheel. The IR sensor on the Z2 is between the 'V' and 'Vol' buttons.
nothing
so you didnt have to do anything fo the radio to recognize the remote? i wonder if i got a bad remote
wikked
you probably just have a dead bettery, mine also came with a small piece of plastic between the battery and the connector so that battery wouldn't go dead in the box.. maybe that is still there or it came out, letting you battery go dead. cntrylvr79
I have always wondered where the IR sensor is...on the remote and on the AVIC. Any ideas? LOL! It may use RF. It doesn't. It's ir. The problem is if the sun is shining directly on the avic, the sunlight will block the ir signal from the remote.
