djarno
My Pioneer AVIC-N1 makes a heavy grinding sound when reading discs, does not eject disc, does not accept discs when inserting, and the display comes out but does not go vertical. There is a mechanism error that comes up on the screen when I press the eject button. Everything else works fine(radio, touchscreen, etc.) Any suggestions?

djarno
Do you guys think I should call Pioneer for them to repair it or should I go for this guy here: http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-AVIC-N1-AVI ... dZViewItem Reason I'm asking is because I heard that Pioneer tech support are sucky in another thread. whtcrxghst
Do you get a warranty on their work? With Pioneer repairs you get like 3 months or something
bun-b6661
So, are you saying your display is dead to? if so you need a ribbon cable and probably a new dvd mechanism.
djarno
Got my AVIC-N1 fixed. Works nice now. The cost was $169.99 and it comes with 1 year warranty.
