cdaniel76
Anyone know if the PNR1 Sirius unit will work with the D3? I bought the PNR1 to work with my D1 but didn't like the crappy interface between those two units. The PNR1 has been collecting dust for about 2 years now. Is it compatibale with the D3 and if so, is the interface better than it was on the D1 or do I just need to drop the dough on a PNR2? Also, is there a new model coming out soon to replace the PNR2? I think I read somewhere that there's supposed to be one coming out soon.... Thanks!
whtcrxghst
They do work together. The interface has improved but is still not as good as the XM one. Getting the PNR2 will not improve the interface so you may as well use the PNR1 you got
naplesbill
The PNR2 will only improve performance. Both channel changing and audio performance are supposed to be better on the PNR2.
whtcrxghst
No it won't. They are the same thing except the PNR2 added Game Alert and the sports ticker The PNR2 will only improve performance. Both channel changing and audio performance are supposed to be better on the PNR2.
naplesbill
I can only tell what I was told. My brother works for Sirius field testing equipment. I asked him what the differences were between the two. He stated that the PNR2 has a newer chipset in it. He also cited the performance differences I stated in addition to the two features you mentioned.
