DP3343
Just like iOS 7 and 8, CarPlay has some very swoopy animations to jump in and out of the home screen and between apps. These Animations take time to complete that leads some people to feel CarPlay can be a little slow just like their opinion of iOS 7 and 8 in general. Well just like iOS 7 and 8 if you turn on reduce motion in accessibility the transitions between apps in CarPlay dramatically improves as well. I'll make a video of it when I get off work, but suffice to say it's impressive and a welcome improvement. Try it out. Settings-general-accessibility-reduce motion-on. It's nice. Pjrm68
Would be very interested to see this video if you make it.
jkaruzas99
i just switched mine off, and i don't really notice any difference in the behavior of the phone. Haven't been in the car yet to see how differently it behaves through CarPlay.
epsilonkore
I never noticed, but you are right. I have always had "reduced motion" turned on since it became a feature (and the Apple tweakers noted it speeds up perceived performance). I just turned it off and yes speed feels a good bit slower with full animations in CarPlay. Now I know why my friends iPhone 6 feels slower than my 6+ (there shouldnt have been a difference). I doubt he has animations turned off like I do.

Pjrm68
Thanks for making this! Looks like it might be worth giving this a try. It's just enough of an improvement to make a noticeable difference.
