EditorDZ
Any rumors on the upgradability of the (barely) older NEX units to support Android Auto? Word is Pioneer will have a "Loyalty Upgrade" program for us 1st gen NEX users. For a nominal $1499 fee, they'll send you the upgraded software in a re-badged NEX unit. I think we get to keep the old units, but we'll have to mail in proof of destruction, as to not create a second hand market. This also entitles you to next year's 8200 loyalty upgrade, which for the same low fee will contain some bug fixes, and possibly the arrival of features that were originally advertised with the 8000/8100 units. But nothing is confirmed as of yet.

joemamma1954
I would venture to guess, the first gen nex, will get firmware update, it may be 4-6 months after Android auto is available.
