CatholicJedi
ok this is driving me nuts. I have a NEX-6000 and have several apps that are carplay compatible. but I only have a few icons showing up. the screen is full, but for example, MLB doesn't show up. is there away two get to a second screen. I tried swiping and got nada.
Pjrm68
I don't think MLB At Bat works with CarPlay yet, even though it's listed as a compatible app. It's never shown up for me and none of the app updates have ever even mentioned CarPlay.
CatholicJedi
Pjrm68 - agree. I found on an apple blog site (can't remember which one) the list of compatible apps, MLB was listed as coming soon. Maybe they will have it ready to roll out by opening day. I hope they will allow video (highly doubt it) but would be nice to watch a ball game on a long road trip.

I do not think there is any possible video transfer via Lightning cable alone. Additionally, playing video goes against CarPlay's sole purpose - a "safer" way to harness your phone's capabilities while driving. I really wonder what MLB At Bat will do in CarPlay. Maybe just audio, like all other CarPlay apps so far (except Maps).

I have an HDMI cable plugged into my 6000, so I can get games that way

So video isn't going to happen either.

Right, but what I'm saying is that CarPlay will never allow that as a native feature.
