Haullin
The usb 1 slot isn't recognizing anything I connect to it. I am using the original female usb that came with the head unit. I tried multiple lightning cables and none of them work. I plugged in a thumb drive to do the update it doesn't acknowledge it. usb slot 2 is fine. Android auto works.. I do have the micro bypass installed specific for the 4100. Any ideas ? The car is a six speed manual if that makes any difference.

Did you try plugging the lightning cable directly to USB 1 (without the male-female extension)? Have you tested the male-female extension cable in USB2 to see if it works? What else have you done to systematically troubleshoot the problem?
Haullin
No USB1 never worked. I'm gonna pull the unit tomorrow to swap/check cables. Good idea about plugging it in directly. I'll post when I'm done..

Good luck with the NEX
