cleverdicky
Hi, thanks for advice. I tried all night but now something isnt working right. As soon as i click open on Putty, (without radio switched on) im getting a new window with streams of data garbage, that looks like upside down U's. Obviously tried connections etc. If I switch on radio (before I click open) nothing happens. I think the usb things shagged. I'll get another one. Quick Q's, as I've not done this before, is U-boot a menu? in the radio. I searched the web but could only find referance to android boot options.
asd255
check the connection. and PuTTy settings
cleverdicky
Good afternoon. I got the settings thanks. Problem was cheap usb - serial device. I think it fried somehow?? Anyhow, got new one yesterday and installed PuTty on another better laptop. Still win 11 tho :-( result was exactly the same. I tried with settings window open -> turned on radio. Nothing. Opened Putty after setting as above and then get uboot window. tried everything to add command, pressed keys / space bar etc as soon as radio turned on and always the same. I dont get all the data that other posts have shown before it reloops. But Im pasting below a couple of loops worth. You might see something in here thats useful? The strange characters are a worry ? asd255
if you cannot enter commands, then you have a problem connecting the TX wire from the USB TTL adapter you also have an unstable RX connection I see artifacts in your log 4 hours ago, cleverdicky said: Snapshot total size : 0x123fb440 compressed size : 0x02e35974 --- Read Snapshot --- 00800000,▒▒▒▒▒▒cc00000 C▒▒▒▒$HHHT"@▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒@ ▒ @▒warp boot side A Lineo Warp!! 4.0.0 (Jupiter14 1.0.1) Tue Jan 14 13:23:03 JST 2014 SDHC2 'SU32G' 30436MB 4bit 50.0Mbit/s (HS) block: 512 sect: 127 spec: 3 00800000▒▒▒▒▒▒▒0▒▒j3c800000 ▒▒▒▒~▒▒▒▒?▒▒▒▒ B▒▒▒▒▒H▒+D▒A (@▒▒ ▒ @ @ @@▒@▒ ▒▒@@@▒ ▒@▒ ▒@▒ ▒ U-Boot 2009.08 (Jan 06 2014 - 16:32:44)
cleverdicky
Guys i've been at this for hours. Although Im nearly blind now staring at those tiny holes, I've remade connections and data is nice and clean now. Thanks for the tip. But still not sending commands. I press keys as soon as pwr to radio and keep pressing but nothing opens. If I click open 1st then turn on radio I get data, but still nothing happens when I press keys. I've checked and rechecked all pins. over and over. I've also searched for an older version of PuTTy as I noticed the images here dont match the one I have. I will have a search & read for an alternative unless there are any recomendations.
asd255
what radio do you have?
cleverdicky
OK, Im making progress. I can type now and it pauses window data ;-) I tried easyrecovery - nothing. Tried bsp init and it had some effect. (below) Now I have no boot loop but have the standard software error - contact pioneer service center. :-( Does that mean I need new sdcard ? cleverdicky
Hi yes this is weird. I'm not so familiar that I no whats going on. But it is still boot looping unless I type bsp init. Then it seems to run a script, sorts itself out and brings up the software error on the radio screen. Putty then goes blank. Typing warp when it boots brings the error 'no mmc'. So i tried adding a new blank sdcard in the user slot, but no change. (could it be looking for update / firmware ? ) I also tried putting the original factory sdcard back in but no change. Also I noticed that the screen wont open now by the buttons. So may have some loose ribbons or could be as it hasnt fully booted. Unit is F60DAB
