JonTheGreek
Ok so I have tried searching google and this forum for this. How do I go about getting it to detect or load a list if preset red-light cameras? It's killing me. I have had this unit for about 6months and just discovered this option about a month ago. 493008
On the 8100 it is in the GPS settings, in the Warnings. Check your manual.
JonTheGreek
Thank you but I have turned it on and nothing is appearing. Please also note that I have an 8000.
jhren
I don't think red light cameras warnings are provided via detection. I believe warnings are either tied to a local-traffic-info receiver or an add-on database (Naviextras toolbox?). I'm not that up on what technological avenue is used, so my comment will have to be verified or disputed by someone more knowledgeable.
493008
They are in the database of the unit. If none are coming up, then they are not in the database for your area. The best solution is to just not run red lights.
tekki
Red light warnings are tied to the AvicSync app, however there are a few that are already stored in the nex once you go into the warning settings and turn them on.
PaisanNYC
Living in NYC with 15+ year old red light cameras, I am surprised not one of them have shown up on my updated 8100 yet. They really need to do something about AVICsync
