Amarzano
Ok - I am sure everyone is going to get a chuckle out of this - but how the heck do you turn this unit OFF? I was doing some work on Jeep the other day and could not for the life of me figure out where the "POWER" button might be. Thank you! Alex
Della
You can't, crazy I know. I'd like to turn the unit off at the car wash to lower the antenna. I have yet to figure out how to do this without shutting the car off.
onebyside
I think some people put a switch between the HU and the power connect for that reason.
Amarzano
very interesting.. My issue is that I have a couple of amps downstream of the 8100 so the battery goes down FAST when they are all running and the engine is not... Of course not an issue when you are driving - but I guess something to watch out for when parked.. Very strange - I've never heard of a deck that doesn't have a power switch.. I guess you learn something every day. As a side note - I updated to Ver 1.0.3 last night - no issues..
onebyside
You mean parked as in idling....I assume your alt supply's the required amps for stable power to the 2 amplifiers? Should be no problem.
Amarzano
Actually - I meant Parked and not idling - like waiting to pick up the kids or something like that..
onebyside
You'll be fine, the unit is off unless the key is turned on to start or in acc.
gambit784
There is an Off button. For the 8100 it's on the main screen where you see all the icons. There is one for Off. I wiill do a screen shot when I get home.
