Greg_Denver Posted December 15, 2015 Report Share Posted December 15, 2015 Yesterday I was able to run through process of initializing a USB drive on my new 5100NEX, using it in Naviextras Toolbox to download map updates, etc. and then update the 5100NEX. Today I plugged same USB drive into PC and NaviExtras does not see it as a device at all. Do I have to reinitialize it again with the 5100NEX? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Haven't done it often enough to be an expert, but given that your PC isn't reading it now, you'll have to try something different, right? If that don't work, you might also try stupid things like plugging in USB before starting Toolbox, and vice versa; using different USB ports on the PC; etc. Write down your process each time you try it, so when it does work, you'll "remember" how you got there.
