Agro
It's amazing that you would ask that question when almost every single thread relating to the firmware update mentions exactly what it is for. Z1/Z2 lockup (wont get past initial splash screen) to limited number of units that are in higher heat areas.

whtcrxghst
The update disks give you the current mapping and POI information. Nothing to do with firmware

ceedee
ok i did another search again... and still got q's i don't have xm radio... don't have bluetooth i want to connect , either. now, what would the firmware update actually change or benefit me in? i can play vid with the parking brake grounded, it just informs the that it's connected wrong but that's all. mine is an n1 , and i wonder what it would benefit me with. i don't want to mess with it, if there is nothing going to change, anyway. whtcrxghst
Stop talking about firmware. You would be buying new disks, which are software. The update disks give you the current mapping and POI information. THATS IT!!!!!!!
