Recommended Posts

HI I got Escalade 2007 and started installing AVIC8200NEX to my car... I ordered new frame with 2DIN... But:

1. Radio is too long? Has anybody installed it before to this car? Unit is inch too long !

2. I cannot get Rearview camera when reversing.. It recognizes reverse, etc.. but no camera pic

3. No Rear audio from Radio unit.. ?

4. I have Maestro rr intalled also and GM5 rearview harness, but no power to back screen from harness? There is 3 RCA cables that say to back screens?? Where are those connectors on radio?

I got exactly same GMK265... Still all those wires comin back and ever putting them down radio is too long...

Maybe Ill cut bezel so that radio comes thru it.

2. I cannot get Rearview camera when reversing.. It recognizes reverse, etc.. but no camera pic... Did you put extra wire for camera power?

3. No Rear audio from Radio unit.. ? ACtually I got audio from back but only during movies... not during radio..

4. I have Maestro rr intalled also and GM5 rearview harness, but no power to back screen from harness? There is 3 RCA cables that say to back screens?? Where are those connectors on radio? DO that back screen require extra power from somewhere... what cable?

is it a factory camera??

rear audio is a 3.5mm jack on lower left corner.

rear over head should always have power even without the radio connected.

check all your wiring. if possible join the chats and send me pics

I toyed with wires and pulled everything off and putting it back together.

Now after putting key first time to ignition backup camera works ... BUT radio starts with assistant and camera picture and nothing else works on radio.. I have to bypass locked screen by pressing mute few sec.

Then after I switch back to reverse i only get black screen.. and every time after that.. I have tried on settings battery and ground..

Still no picture to video at back...

I installed in 2011 tahoe and concept is very similar.  Due to all the wires, its a tight fit.  Some people cut plastic off behind back of HU but if you carefully tuck wires in open spots, you can get radio to fit right.

I had same issue with reverse.  I tried tapping recommended wires that are associated with reverse but ended up having to run a wire from reverse light all the way to radio.  They made an upgraded HU that just comes with its own camera possibly because this is a more common issue than we think.

I had same issue where reverse finally worked and nothing else worked.  I have reverse set to BATTERY, you can turn rear speakers ON in settings, you only want reverse camera on, not additional or anything else.  Even adjustable lines is wack because our stock camera isnt capable of fully using it.

I'm using PAC but Maestro is better with more features.

Still no picture to video at back...

Are you trying to play movies to monitors in the back of the vehicle??  Just select the back seat icon and select the source. It's not automatic when you play a video in the front.
