kruff10
i have the avic d3, do i need to hook up the reverse wire? is it for navigation or reverse camera?
Two_Cold
It is for both. It is needed for the backup camera. The NAV will be more accurate when you are backing up, but not a big deal if you don't hook it up. Personally I would connect the backup wire if it were my vehicle. Two_Cold
On the back of your truck.
kruff10
so it has to be wired all the way back there?
whtcrxghst
Lucky for you the maker of your car had to run wires all the way back there, so you just have to find where to tap into it. It can usually be tapped in one of the kickpanels or there will definitely be somewhere running down the sides of your car under the carpet so it has to be wired all the way back there? Two_Cold
Reverse Light for 2004 Yukon +'ve Polatity BCM, black plug, pin F light green wire The BCM (Body Control Module) is under the driver side dash. It has 6 plugs in it, the purple plug is on the back. Seems to be a discrepency between the color of the plug. Either black or purple. You should be able to find it by looking for a light green wire in pin F location.
davemonkee
no discrepency in the color (black or purple) it's the black plug! don't get confused
