argh
I was set on getting a D3 in the not so distant future, but after reading about how horrid the navigation part of it is, I've removed that from my list. Are there any other double-din units (non-navi included) that are priced well (best bang for the buck) and provide good sound + audio features (e.g. RDS)? Not really wanting a carputer. whtcrxghst
My D3 nav works great. Seems to know where 95%+ of places are. My Z1 knew them too, but usually took a more roundabout route to it
VBLUE42
No problems here with the nav. Keep in mind they have sold thousands of D3's and a lot of those people are on here. Only a small fraction report problems with the nav and some of them could be user error.

whtcrxghst
Whats the point in reading all that when I drive 25000+ miles per year with my D3 and it gets me where I need to go? Did you miss this five page long thread?
installermarc
Out of all the d3's I have installed (too many to count) the only problems I have seen were USER ERRORS. Granted I am in central Arkansas and do not have the rats nest of freeways that LA has, bet ev ery single problem I have encountered has been resolved by driving the customer's car while giving a complete demo while THEY WATCHED. The longest session like this was 45 minutes. Like GI Joe said, knowing is half the battle.
argh
Does a good double-din headunit (non-navi) at a price lower than the D3 exist?
