davidl9999
Pioneer recently released an update to address a Z1/Z2 issue. It will update the Platform ver. 2.000500 and HDD App. to 2.140000. However, the Bypass image updated to 2.000400 and 2.130000. I know this because I did the Pioneer update before I ran the Bypass image. I haven't finished the 2-wire mod yet (that's tomorrow), so I don't know if there's actually an issue yet. My unit is a NIB 3/07 Z2. My questions of the day are: 1)If I reinstall the Pioneer update, will it overwrite the Bypass files? (I'll find out soon enough, but thought I'd post this first since I didn't see this issue anywhere yet). 2) If yes, can someone update the Bypass ISO image with the 2.0005 and 2.14 versions? (If that's warranted). I'm not skilled enough to pull that off on short notice. Thanks, -Dave

SorrGwa
i think im in your shoes. my deck box says oct 2007. i tried to do the update and got the message on the screen that the cd-rom version was older than the version on the deck, and so could not update. davidl9999
Well, I got the 2-wire mod done today. Everything is fine. Interestingly, I had the 2.14 firmware loaded and was able to down-rev to 2.13 with the ISO disk. I don't know why the member above me couldn't do that. That makes me not want to install the 2.14 update from Pioneer... Thoughts?
whtcrxghst
If you are not having any freezing issues, then you may as well not do it. But keep that disk around in case you ever do

edrock200
just another confirmation here. I loaded up the z2 hd image onto my unit, did the 2 wire bypass, then updated with the latest pioneer update. No probs with the bypass.
SorrGwa
2 wire works for 2.14 firmware. =)
millsp
Thanks for the info if this has already been asked. I just bought a new Z2x with the 2.14 firmware already on it. All I need to do is the TWO wire bypass correct? or do I still need to use the firmware hack?
