gopanthers
I just came over this board-from elcova. I am planning on buying the d3 this week and am looking for suggestions on support hardware. I looked at crutchfield to keep the steering wheel controls but it looks like that brand is not very dependable. Is scoche (sp?) better. I am also not sure on the brand of plug to use with my factory harness or if I need a head unit installation kit. Any suggestions on a rear view camera? The last of my projects will be running the system to two headrest monitors. I'm a little nervous about cutting the headrests myself but the pre-installed ones seem too expensive. Any suggestions on headrest monitors? Thanks in advance for any help.
weezo
If you don't want to cut your headrest and don't want to buy pre-fitted one... then just don't put them... Have you think about a flip-down monitor from the ceiling
superjet
There is really only one steering wheel adaptor, they are just sold under different brands. Scosche, Peripheal, Pac, etc are all the same. Get a GMOS-04 harness and a double din kit. Don't want to cut the headrests, but also dont want to spend the money on pre-fabbed? You need to make a choice there. Cheap monitors also have pretty low quality picture/resolution. Don't make your decision by price alone. Overhead is out of the question, considering the existing overhead console is rather long.
