insideconnections
Has anyone hacked or figured out a way to use the update more than once? KEYGEN? Etc? Has anyone successfuly downloaded and installed any of the Keygen upgrade downloads. All I can find is people talking about doing it or providing the links, but no one seems to have actually done it and I am not gambling on a customers head unit. PLEASE HELP!!! I am an authorized Pioneer dealer. I purchased the CNDV-70HD upgrade disc. I am ashamed to say that I purchased it as soon as it came out and was available and am just now using it. I only purchased it as a tool because I was informed it could be used multiple times. My distributor stated you just had to log in and register it everytime you used it for Pioneer to keep track of serial numbers updated. Well, needless to say that now I know that was false. I waited to update my own personal Z1 first to make sure it worked and didn't wipe out your music and other data when performed. Now I have used my one time on myself instead of the customer/customers it was puerchased for. In other words, I f***ed up due to false information provided to me early on. It's my fault for not checking here first, but too late now. I should have just done the customers unit first. Any help very much appreciated and greatly needed. Please provide information, links, etc. Opinions optional. Don't drive on me too hard. You guys are gurus and gods. I am a god at installations and fabrication. I know when to shut up and listen. Thanks in advance for your help.
whtcrxghst
Nothin so far. Most people are just swapping hard drives until somebody cracks it
djmixmac
You're an installer huh? Cool. I thought maybe Pioneer gave authorized dealers one disc with multiple media numbers(serial) so they can use the disc more than once. If not, pioneer does indeed suck ass. BTW, whats the process for making a KEYGEN? Its pretty extensive I'm assuming. Is it possible to remake the disc remove that portion of the software?
macusers
Question: Being an authorized Pioneer dealer couldn't you just order a new upgrade DVD?

djmixmac
I'm a handleful of Z1 owners that have music on their hard drive that is unfortunately unrecoverable. I think by the time the update dvd is available, the Z3 would be out!
S.F.W.
creating a key gen is very challenging. You need several confirmed working codes, then you create a program to ind the commonalities, and eventually find the pattern.
insideconnections
What if I installed my customers harddrive into my unit and used the same serial num and password. In other words, it's still my unit with a different drive in it. Not sure if the serial it is asking for is specific to my harddrive or my head unit. Do you think this is worth a try? I have an extra used Z1 at my shop right now. I would like to try this. Would just like some opinions or advice before I screw up something. I assume that the worst thing I will encounter is that it will just tell me the update is rejected or invalid password.
06gator
try it and see what happens.
