mr_tabasco
OK guys I am new to the forum so if this is a dumb question please don't be too hard on me. I have searched this and can't find anything on this so here it goes. I have just hooked up my D3 unit in a 2002 F-250 and when I go to the radio AV source and go to a station that should have text I don't see any on my unit. It seems that the D3 supports this functionality but I cannot find any iinformation on it. Any ideas on what I would need to do to see this information? Thanks for the help. das
The D3 doesn't support RDS. What pisses me off is that not even the $2300 Z2 supports it.

JasonH
The text is for XM and Sirius only.
mrgoodbar67
i know that xm and sirius have text and therefore need the text display box, but why would they let it remain on when listening to am and fm if its not going to be used? no sense to me

Obviously, they did it to screw with us. I can't really think of any other reasons, can you?
mrgoodbar67
Why have a "detail" option if there are no details to display.
HiFiSi
Because it was in there from the XM interface and they were just too lazy to remove it from the coding.
