snaoum
Will it fit? I've seen few pics of it done but not sure how hard it is. Here is a link to some pics. http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m ... s=#4033942
cntrylvr79
You're going to have to make some modifications to the dash. Factory opening is din+3/4. Not double din.
snaoum
Wonder how that guy in the link made it work, doesnt look like he made any modifications to the dash.
GnatGoSplat
Looks like a GM-standard 1.5 DIN opening to me. The hole needs to be modified quite a bit. Oh yeah, he definitely modded the dash. He (or his installer) is just that good. The most impressive installs are ones like that which you can't tell it's not factory. If you look at a stock Grand Prix dash, the bar between radio and climate is much thicker. Also, he narrowed the opening because in the stock GP dash, the radio opening is a hair wider than the climate control opening while in that double-DIN conversion it's obvious the radio opening is narrower. Really nice job, and a fantastic match on the paint color and finish too. Much nicer than the rest of them posted later in the thread.
Ydtrack
Wonder how that guy in the link made it work, doesnt look like he made any modifications to the dash. That is a custom dash panel, I just ordered a spare dash panel so I can modify mine to fit a D3.
