Hello I have a pioneer Avic-8200NEX in my wrangler. I tried to update the firmware and the maps but now my device number is incorrect and no maps will load on navigation. Is there a way to make the device recognize that it is an 8200 again? Device number now shows PFTM007132UC IMG_3038.HEIC

This is a pretty old post but you guys all seem really knowledgable so i'm hoping you can help. I have a Jeep Wrangler unlimited with a Pioneer NEX 8200. I use carplay on my iphone in USB 1 and am trying to get my seagate 2TB portable loaded with videos to occupy USB 2. I know that this will work because i had the 8100 several weeks ago with this setup and everything was working fine. my 8100 had some issues with skipping that the installer couldn't fix so he replaced it for me with the 8200 but now i can't get my seagate to play videos any longer. I've tried every format i can think of (

Ok so here is some new information that is REALLY driving me crazy. I have an 8GB flash drive that i formatted in fat32 and added 1 of my videos. It played with no issue. I tried to format the 2TB drive to fat32 and add the same video and i get unplayable file. I have tried 3 different externals and formatted them in every possible way. I know there is something i'm missing here but i can't figure this one out. HELP HELP HELP

I've tried them all using a conversion software. It worked before with MP4 so thatwhat I'm trying to use.

I have a pioneer 8200 that i am trying to play videos on. I was able to do it before but the external hard drive that my movies were on died so i had to get a new one. I bought another seagate 2TB drive and have loaded the same files that were on the last one. The drive is plugged into USB 2 on the unit (just as before) but my unit keeps saying "unplayable file". What am i missing here?

Anyone able to get this to work on an 8200?

Hello, I have an Ipod Touch connected to an 8200. The Ipod is connected via Ipod port 1 and randomly starts skipping. It starts skipping and does that for about 5 minutes and then stops. There is no particular song and I have tried different cables (all apple), both ports on the NEX, 3 different Ipods (all skip), and have had the NEX unit swapped (started with an 8100 and swapped for 8200) but the skipping continues. If anyone can figure this out I would be forever grateful!!

Hello I have an Ipod touch 5th Gen and a NEX 8100. I use App radio which works great except it always requires me to "allow" control by confirming on my iPod whenever I want to use one of the apps. Is there a way to bypass this so that the radio can open the app and I wont have to press anything on the iPod for it to work?

I have a new Ipod touch and I use it strictly for my car. The issue is that every time i turn the car off I have to disconnect my Ipod and then reconnect it to get my 8100 to recognize it. I have it connected via a lightening cable. I would like to just leave it attached all the time and be recognized when i start the car. Is that a possibility?

Has anyone figured out how to make the Ipod Touch work with Carplay? I have wifi in my car so my touch connects to the internet but my 8100 still only recognizes my iphone. Want to use my touch because it has a lot more memory plus its just for my car so i won't have to keep plugging and unplugging it.

Ok, so i see options for displaying DVD, SD Card, AV when I choose "rear" but what is the "mirror" option for?

Does anyone know how to use the "mirror" function to display whats on the front monitor to the rear monitors? I have my Ipod Touch connected via HDMI cable and I'd like to be able to show the movies in the back as well and it seems like the mirror function should do this. My monitors are connected via AV input to the head unit.

I have an 8100 in my Jeep. When I start the car Spotify comes on fine but when I put the car in reverse and the backup camera activates spotify automatically stops. I try to restart it from the head unit but it won't work until I unplug my iphone and restart the app from the phone. Anyone lknow of a way to fix this? Also, on a separate note, I have an Ipod touch connected to the HDMI port. Is there a way to control the video from the head unit or does that have to be done from the iPod.
