  1. Hey all, Great forum here, haven't been on in sometime. I finally upgraded from my original Avic N1 (8 years old!) to the Z140, what a nice piece of hardware this seems to be. I did have a few questions as this is a fairly complex unit. I have rear headrest monitors and judging by the install book it looks like I should use the VOUT jack next to the Subwoofer jacks. I did this and I get no video to the rear displays, is there a setting that I am missing somewhere? Is there a way to do a master reset on this thing? I have bungled it up so much trying to set everything, now that I ha
  2. Wanted to know if this is possible, if so I haven't figured it out. I can do it with a DVD ie: have the DVD Video be the source on the screen and my headrest monitors but have my audio source as XM, IPOD etc. I like to do this so I can put video on for my son and he can listen through wireless headphones, and I don't have to listen to Thomas the tank haha. What I'd like to do is be able to use my Video source as my Ipod, but have my audio be XM etc, can this be done?
  3. Hey all, I've been doing some reading and can only find info on the Video out of the brain. I have the Video Out going to my headrest monitors and it works great! But I would like to use the audio out so I could hookup some headphones or somthing so my boy can watch his movie and the wife and I can listen to XM, Radio whatever, not Baby Einstein haha! Isn't this what the audio out on the brain should be for? If so I tried connecting up some desktop computer speakers to test, and got no sound? I saw no settings to activate it like you do with the Video Out. Any ideas?
  4. Bam you were right on the money thanks, I couldve sworn I tried that button 20 times but i must be mistaken. I was holding Display, PGM, every button under the sun. Thanks!
  5. Hmm, is that the button to make the screen stay flat and not flip up? If so than no i didnt try to push that.
  6. Anyone? Anyone know if your N1/2/3/4 has the time on the display when the unit is closed?
  7. Hey all, ive searched all over and can't find this, maybe there is no solution. I just upgraded to the 70m discs, and now I no longer have the Time on the display when the screen is closed. I dont remember having to ever set anything when i had the older discs, so is this just a feature that is no longer included? Any info? Thanks.
  8. Excellent instructions, worked perfect! Now to bypass it being that the old ground the wire trick doesnt work with 70M discs.
  9. I bought the module from WastedTime, he is going to send his unit out for the solder technique I think. I am going to attempt it this weekend, I read elsewhere on other forums that it does in fact work. I will update.
  10. Ok thanks thats what I thought. I have the N1 and I have already saved the directions for modding the unit using the solder method. I don't know if Ill go that route though for as much as I use the NAV, Id rather not mess with it at this time. I've done plenty of soldering, just dunno if I care to mess with it on this unit. Is the solder mod doable with the circuit tracing pen? Ive read on it but wasnt sure the outcome.
  11. Great Forum here. I searched around and am not sure the answer to this question. I have the 60MP East torrent, burned etc, but Im not sure if I upgrade to this software if It disables my Parking Brake fix that I did so I can watch DVD's etc in motion. I have an N1, N1 Brain etc, and just grounded the parking brake. Thanks.
