Jason -

That GPS input on the rear looks different from the one on the D3 - does the F90 use a different GPS connector?

And kudos to Pioneer for finally spelling "Dialed" correctly on the F90.

Thanks for all the info Jason, I registered just so I could see the pics in this thread. My question is about playing digital music files from iPod or SD card. When you want to seek through an MP3, can you just touch and drag that blue progress bar on the screen? I listen to a lot of 60+ minute MP3 DJ mixes in the car, and a quick and easy fast forward through them would be a life saver.

Unfortunately, yes, it is different.

I just recently got my D3 and I love it but man this f series looks sweet. I wish I would have held off a bit now.. How do I talk the wife into swapping the d for the f  ..

Anyway Thanks Jason for the pic and all the info. Can't wait for the video.

Cool, you can control the movies from the deck rather than the ipod itself. Nice.

No, sorry. The good news is the forward seek accelerates quite well after you hold it down for a few seconds.

an ipod wont play divx, but if you have a divx movie on the ipod will it play on this deck?

Posted May 31, 2008 · 00:12 UTC#62

Or will DivX loaded on an SD? or on a USB drive work too?

Really interested to know :)

Can you play video from iPhone through the ipod cable?

I would love to know as well

iPhone: NO, only music and phone calls.

Any other iPod: YES

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, but Pioneer confirmed it.

I know, it sucks...Apple just HAD to make it use a different cable...

How is Bluetooth sound quality? I just installed Kenwood DNX8120 in my car. The quality on the other end is really bad. I have been playing around with the mic placement (kind of remind me when I got my Avic Z1). This is very important to me as I talk in the car a lot.

Thanks for the preview.

It sounds great in the car, like a landline speakerphone. I'll do more testing tomorrow during the video review and let you know what the other end sounds like.

Jason,

Do you recommend the Avic Z users to upgrade? I really like the new Bluetooth support and new ipod control. I don' like the smaller screen.

It uses a special FM frequency that basically piggybacks on top of radio stations. Most major cities have it. The full list is here: http://www.msndirect.com/NavigationData ... ility.aspx

I'm dying to get my hands on a 90BT! Thanks for all the info so far Jason. Can you supply a list of what's not in the box that will be needed for other functions? For example, what's the part number for the compatible XM module? Does it support XM NavTraffic? Backup camera?
