Ipod cable comes with the 90.

Posted Jun 18, 2008 · 13:00 UTC#202

F90BT also has 3d landmarks.

Posted Jun 18, 2008 · 13:01 UTC#203

And the price difference between the 900 & 90 is only $100, not $300.

Does the F-Series support the multi-CD player? I saw no reference in the manual to this.

do anyone know if theres a bypass yet or if the one for the d3 will work?

Posted Jun 19, 2008 · 06:48 UTC#206

The 90BT includes the Pioneer iPod cable, according to Pioneer

What's the difference between F90BT and F900BT?

As far as I can tell there are only three:

1. Pre-out are 2v lower on F900BT

2. Price is $300 lower on F900BT

3. Warranty one year on F900BT, two years on F90BT

Both support MSN Traffic!

Am I missing anything?

While waiting for my dealer to get the 900BT in stock I had a chance to play with the 700BT and it appears that the nav data is no more current than what Pioneer released last year.

There's still a few streets in my area that were completed Mar 2007 that still aren't showing up.

That may be true. But with these new units, you can update the map data with a flash card or USB drive, so it will be a lot easier to update the database when Pioneer releases it. You won't have to buy a $250 update disk.

Supposedly the one I have on order is coming with 2008 maps. They offered me a free upgrade from the 2007 to the 2008 and that they would do it prior to shipping. Well still haven't seen it and they tell me its delayed because of the 2008 maps upgrade.

I don't know if I believe them or not, something tells me they are the 2007 maps and hope I wouldn't notice.

how u get a free upgraded disc. my house isnt even located on my d3

Posted Jun 22, 2008 · 07:05 UTC#213

^ There aren't any upgrade disks for the D3 yet.

Posted Jun 22, 2008 · 07:24 UTC#214

They tried to sell me 2008 maps for an extra $199.00 when I said no, he told me he was authorized to let me have them for the same price since I was a returning customer (brought my D3 from them). So I dont know if I am getting true 2008 maps or they were just saying that to get me to shell out more cash. This was purchased through Broadway Photo in Brooklyn, NY.

NOOOOOO! Do not buy ANYTHING from those people! Go to this topic and read everything, especially the link leading to the better business bureau.

Broadway photo is just another alias used by this scam company. They bait you with super cheap products, then after you order they try to force you to buy unnecessary or sometimes non-existent extras at super inflated prices. And when you tell them you don't want any of their extra stuff, you item somehow gets conveniently held up because it's on back-order, when it was in stock at the time you ordered it.

Anyway, if you haven't ordered from them yet, DON'T. Stick wit a known, authorized dealer. A lot of times when a seller's price is way too good to be true, that's because IT IS.

Thanks for the heads up. I will be calling them in the morning and canceling this order...

At this time Pioneer doesn't know how the new F units will get updated navigation data and referred me to TeleAtlas.

I spoke with the peeps at TeleAtlas and was told that while they do distribute updates to their business partners quarterly it is up to their partners to format the data for use in their devices and referred me back to Pioneer.

is the Ipod interface improved over the Z2? with a quicker searching function or at least a listing by alpha-numeric?

Posted Jun 23, 2008 · 20:54 UTC#219

Yes!!!

Posted Jun 27, 2008 · 22:14 UTC#220

My local dealer is telling me that they (Pioneer) are having technical issues with the 900BT, which is why they don't have them in yet and why I don't have one installed yet.

Has anybody else heard that?

Posted Jun 28, 2008 · 01:55 UTC#221

Yep. It's been well documented here. They are working on getting the bugs out before shipping them out.
