Boris, You are a GENIUS! Thanks for the file... I am going to be trying to change a few things now to change the look, I kinda am annoyed by the blue boxes and the clock...

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 05:48 UTC#103

Have fun with that...

I'll see if I can extract route delete and mute code and add it to mine... I never looked at it closely since these mods aren't something I was going to put on mine...

Find a line similar to this:

;time

in navigatemap_800_480.ui file, and change color parameter to your liking.

How do you know what color you're choosing, or is it all trial and error?

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 18:10 UTC#107

These are standard RGB colors. You could use something like this chart:

http://www.gotomy.com/color.html etc.

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 18:29 UTC#108

do we change 'color' or 'color2'? I want an orange to go with my interior lights so i would choose #FF9933, which color spot would i put it in?

For fonts can i basically type any font type thats in Word 2000?

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 19:08 UTC#109

OK... "color" is the color of the element itself. color2 is the color of the outline. You control size of the outline with glowsize parameter. There's also color3 parameter, but I'm not sure what it controls yet.

You could, theoretically, use any TTF font, but remember that AVIC only comes with Tahoma and Tahoma Bold installed. If you want anything else you will need to copy them to iGO main directory...

great thanks!!!

one more thing can you show me the line whre you change to show house numbers

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 20:56 UTC#111

You're welcome!

For house numbers, search navigatemap_800_480.ui for

TEXT sprNMIActualStreetName

I am using combined_textmodel to append house numbers to the street name.

Please not that what iGO considers right house number is actually left and vice versa...

Got it!

I made few changes using "clean" data.zip

1. house numbers

2. took off from your line Turn Restriction sign - somehow was distracting me

3. change the clock colors black/white and made it bigger - front 44

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 22:03 UTC#113

Cool. I think original clock size was 34. I made it around 40. I'll probably take it out -- there's a good enough clock on my dash, but for now at least it's reasonably colro matched :)

Turn restrictions I made mostly "because I can" -- it's not really something you should be relying on when driving around. I might make it configurable next time I start working on the settings screen.

How do i remove the turn restriction?

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 23:04 UTC#115

Comment out the line that says turnrestrictions...

Posted Nov 10, 2008 · 23:16 UTC#116

....how do you comment out? i think its a semicolon or do i just delete this:

I just deleted line with turnrestrictions

Posted Nov 11, 2008 · 00:50 UTC#118

Either would work.

Posted Nov 11, 2008 · 01:37 UTC#119

I also applied "delete route" button and mute/unmute voice button

works great :D

was trying to play with keeper22's quick lunch buttons, they worked but guidance voice didn't work for some reason

Posted Nov 11, 2008 · 03:23 UTC#120

Boris, I will play with it today... i want to set a bkg, maybe it works like css and html and i can change it pretty easy.

BORIS!! will this new file cancel out the data.zip you sent me last week?

Posted Nov 11, 2008 · 03:56 UTC#121

Nope, should all be the same.

iGO itself has an option to set a different background to its screens (and DATA.ZIP includes a bunch).

I might add that to settings one day...

Posted Nov 11, 2008 · 19:53 UTC#122

I've got something for you to figure it out - how about remaining time for playing songs in CDROM or USB, taht would be nice

Posted Nov 11, 2008 · 22:12 UTC#123

Nice, indeed, but that would be something up Leet's alley. All A/V information is overlayed on the map by A/V software. iGO has no clue about it. If somebody can hack A/V executables to display different information, it would be doable...

Posted Nov 13, 2008 · 00:35 UTC#124

Boris,

For the last few day I have been trying to upload your changes with no luck the start up message just stays up until it reboots sometime later. I am pretty comfortable messing with the .ui files so I must be missing something.

I have tried adding your files to my data.zip minus your navigatemap_800_480.ui (I want to keep the mads I have done)

I tried adding the UI_pioneer files to IGO and still the same results

Is there a mod I might have done that is conflicting, or some setting. I am totally stumped.

Posted Nov 13, 2008 · 02:30 UTC#125

Hmmm... This is strange. I do not think there are any prerequisite mods.

However, if you are using my navigatemap.ui than you can not us your navigatemap_800_480.ui. They have to match, and I believe you have added things to yours so scripts (in navigatemap.ui) do not match with elements defined in navigatemap_800_480.ui file. This might cause it to hang on startup.

Technically, other files could also refer to content of either navigatemap file, but I don't think there is anything in my hacks that does it beyond what was already on there.

Try it with both navigatemapXXX.ui files either yours or mine and see if it works. If it does, you'll need to merge changes together...
