In f900 US version are 3d buildings on by default? Is there a list of cities that have 3d buildings enabled?
Progress Report
Boris,I finally managed to get the 3d city buildings to show (*.3dc) i was just missing the right license file... anyways... now that i can see the buildings, i noticed that the unit is rendering only the 3d models not the textures (i mean, only 3d transparent blocks). On my PDA version the buildings get transparent only when you are close to them (so you are able to see the roads behind) but other buildings are rendered with their proper texture (showing buildings with windows, and other details) any idea of how to get the unit to display the textures in the building?
i tried with "use_all_building_textures=1" under the [3d] section of the sys.txt with not luck.
any ideas?
Thanks
Try using a different color scheme. Some give you far better looking buildings than others.
Posted my latest data.zip. I would not advise using speedcam files from this one, as they have russian spoken warnings instead of default beeps... ![]()
these are just the edited files, correct?
I guess I'll have to change to a eng warning system.

All the UI files, actually, from ui subfolders. They are all at least a bit cleaned up...
English warnings should not be all the difficult, actually. It needs a set of audio files I did not include, but I can set you up with English ones...
where do i put the audio file for teh speedcams??

Somebody would need to write a settings script to change it. It should be reasonably straightforward (could use one from most existing skins, adjusted to our resolution). When it gets warm enough here to keep running to the car and back I might try it...
i got some russian audio files but it doesnt work
can u post your audio file.!

OGG. iGO likes OGG's...
I believe it is just /AUDIO for for this particular script.
boris are u sure voice warnig works????
it doesnt work here no matter where i put the OGG files??
It works for me, assuming you've added all the files I've posted (speedcam and model_vars) and have speedcam data. I finally contacted the original author so it might get further now...
Great news Boris!
I applied some of your hacks yesterday, but I have question to the simulate route fast and slow buttons.
I noticed the action to remove the buttons was added to the nmb_stop button, but nothing was added to the fast and slow buttons. What can I add to the fast and slow button to make it disappear if the simulation goes to the end? As it is now I can only rid of them by simulating the route again and tapping the green stop button. Maybe I missed something along the way? BTW on my simulated route I was going over 5,000 miles and hour. With the slow button I was able to get all the way down to 1 mph. Is it possible to add a pause button to the simulation?
I've also added your POI by address function. Works great.
everything is in your light_data..at the first post right??

Pause should be easy, it's onrelease='SIMULATE_PAUSE'
I wanted to keep simulation speed controls on screen all the time and have реу automatically disappear when simulation is over, but haven't quite figured that out yet. May be when it gets warmer ![]()
Thanks Boris. I'll give it a shot if I'm able to find the right combination of buttons.

Hi Boris,
I found a pause button on an IGO zip. It was a bit smaller than the buttons you used, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Well anyways, I couldn't get it to work right. I added the simulate_pause to the navigate800 file as well as the scrpits in the route.ui file. I tried a few different things after the first couple did not work. Below is the latest version I had in. I realize it's a bit cold to go out and test but if you can give me a couple other ideas I'll try them out. Oh, the pluses of a 500bt when we have a crappy winter like this year. It's a balmy 14 degrees at my place right now. Stay warm and I look forward to hearing from you.
; BM - extra controls
edited to add- the bmp shows only when I select flyover. It does pause the route when you press the button but does not resume no matter if you push pause, fast or slow arrows. At least we know simulate_pause does do something.

I'll have to remember what I did there... Pause worked as well as faster/slower, so it should be possible...
Hi Boris,
I got it working now, including the resume function. The faster, slower, pause and resume buttons show in both the simulate and flyover screens. I found where I had made an error in the route.ui file. Once I put everything in the right place, viola success.
I could not find a good combination of existing buttons, so I modified a couple. Please excuse the appearance of these. Graphic modifications is not a strong point or a medium point for that matter.
