Is anyone able to post the maps for Europe. I know it's a lot to ask but having it broken up and incomplete on rapidshare sucks.

Torrents are your friends...

Okay I have the maps and POIs but when I am looking at a city like "Dublin" I can see all of the roads and look up "Addresses", but I can not find or search for any POIs.

What am I doing wrong?

Ok I am usually good at finding stuff on the internet but the maps are hiding really well is there anyway someone could post a link as to the location of the maps or hook me up with an Arizona map and license that's really the only one I care about updating.

But I would love to update them all if possible. :D

Is there an update on whether v8.0 or 8.3.1 can be used with this solution? There's another solution in these forums that involves using a launcher that can use 8.3.1 version but seems more complicated than I'm willing to implement to get better map functions. Since the post about not being able to use v8.3.1 was posted last Novemeber, I was wondering if this has changed?

Nothing has changed. The built-in navigation still is iGO 8.0 and you can only use 8.0 format maps with it.

can someone please advise how to get other languages working?

Not per se system-language, but the nav voice.

I added all the files into the corresponding folders. zipped, unzipped, tts, nothing works...

Just in case:

I managed to have a different laguange navigation voice on a US model.

Simply take the ZIPPED language you desire, and simply overwrite all contents on an existing voice.

One file should remain in tact though; info.ini

for instance:

open with (for example) winrar Voice_Eng-us-m1.zip

(Jason)

Overwrite all contents EXCEPT info.ini with winrar from the voice you desire.

upload the file back in the avic, and make sure that voice has been selected. (still finding a way to display it correctly in the avic)

Hey Guys, Noob here but i have been pretty resourceful. Most of my questions have already been posted. i do have a questions

Regarding the update maps...

Should i be looking for IGO 8.0 Maps 2008.4?

All mines stated 2007.10

Once found, they go into the IGO directory

I have already done the Ezrider hack with Lic file.. I also uploaded the

building files and modded the sys.txt file trying to get the 3d building, but no go. maybe cause my maps are outdated? and it is turned on

Thanks

Posted Feb 22, 2009 · 01:37 UTC#93

yea, as far as i can tell the 2008.4 is the newest that will work

Posted Feb 22, 2009 · 14:32 UTC#94

Does the US versions of the AVIC-F series comes with other languages rather than English?

Posted Feb 22, 2009 · 21:54 UTC#95

spanish and french if i remember correctly

Posted Feb 22, 2009 · 22:03 UTC#96

And is it possible to add, for example, portuguese? Is there somewhere I can get those files?

Posted Feb 23, 2009 · 07:28 UTC#97

I haven't succeeded in that so far, but I did manage to simply overwrite the standard voices with commands and soundfiles of other languages.

Posted Feb 26, 2009 · 16:10 UTC#98

Are they wave files? Doing that we can put our own voice in the Avic, correct?

Posted Feb 26, 2009 · 19:47 UTC#99

no they are ogg.

there is a windows media player plugin available.

just overwrite the contents BUT NOT the file name and txt file.

Posted Feb 26, 2009 · 22:23 UTC#100
spanish and french if i remember correctly
