how many times has this happened, it looks like the file it's looking for is corrupted, i'll to try to figure this out and i'll let you know

It has happened twice. I have only driven three times since the install. I am going to delet the data.zip and re install it to see what happens. Thanks a million for your help though.

Update on the error message. I backed up to the the avic original data.zip and still got the error message. Was going to reflash with 2.0 but for some reason when i follow pioneers instructions my system just boots up with out copying anything. Well here is the deal i am going to try my old poi's to see if that fixes it if not reflash the whole d@mn drive. If that does not fix it i am going to throw the HU through Pioneer's CEO's livingroon window. Also i am going to give 2.7 a try. Again thanks for the help and if i have naymore problems i will post in another thread since I know now that it does not have to do with your data.zip. (don't want to hijack the mojo you have going here).

Out curiosity did pioneer warranty them out or were out the cash? If you don't mind me asking, i am still under warranty.

Thanks for the heads up. What i will do is copy eveyfolder over from my backup.

I mirrored the v2.7 data.zip on the FTP

ftp://avic:[email protected]/illdietrying

v1 through v2.5 are in the OldVersions folder

PS. You have several Windows Thumbs.db's taking up almost 1MB of space in the data.zip

hhhmmm, you know what you can do, extract my data.zip and copy ui_pioneer folder and audio folder and past it to dpdurst data and rezip it and try loading it,

I tried but it did not work

i really don't know what to do with your case, you could try editing dpdurst data file, try searching for the software EXAMDIFF and use that to compare folders or ui's

actually i bricked two units within a week, so i just had it replaced in the store i bought it from, the first time i returned the unit i told the sales rep that it just stopped working, then the second time i went to a different location of the same store and said the same excuse, people here are not too picky with returns

Good deal. I got mine online so what i am going todo if i dont fix it is reload all the original files and tell pioneer that i had the problem the whole time so i tried reflashing the unit with 2.0 again and see what they say.

Woohoo its ALIVE. I deleted everyfile on the flashdrive except for the two wince image files. Copied everything over from my backup ran the 2.0 update and now she is working like a champ. The only thing is the arrow in 3d is still the one from IDT's 2.7 mod i think  . I know it is not pioneers default arrow cause this thing is big.

Posted Apr 12, 2009 · 01:50 UTC#346

The Pioneer default arrow is HUGE. Arrow size is controlled in sys.txt. Arrow color is controlled by the colorcheme selected. i.e., Pioneer Blue Day.

UPDATE,

i created an alternate version of the spoken warnings used for the speed camera, it's a male voice created using a TTS software, already gave it a try and in my opinion has a better quality and clarity than the stock ones, unzip folder and copy all ogg file to audio folder in data.zip, here's the file, any comments is appreciated http://ul.to/uvha0s

Posted Apr 12, 2009 · 08:52 UTC#348

Gee.. I've been playing with OGGs all night, too. Small world. :-)

what software are you using?

Posted Apr 12, 2009 · 08:58 UTC#350

fairstars audio converter and kans sound normalizer. Have to get them into a format that's easier to edit, then convert them back.

I use Audacity to actually edit them, but I had 310 files that needed to be louder and this were the easiest way I found to batch edit.
