Stupid question, but where is the original Commonlib.dll file? Did I just skip over where it said that file was?

Posted Jul 30, 2009 · 01:53 UTC#27

It's in DATA\APL

Posted Jul 30, 2009 · 04:39 UTC#28

Could you be more specific? Please give me the path. And how do I get into the file system again? Using the testmode SD card method? Thanks,

It's in DATA\APL

I'm sorry, I gave you the wrong path to begin with...

CommonLib.dll is in My Flash Disk\APL\

You will need to copy the modified CommonLib.dll to your SD card along with the TestMode folder. Then when in Windows CE, you want to copy the original CommonLib.dll to your SD card, rename it something like CommonLib.bak. Then copy the new modified version to the APL folder, overwriting the old CommonLib.dll.

Great! Thank you!

Another small step making these units better. Thank you.

Posted Jul 30, 2009 · 15:07 UTC#32

works.. the first time i started the unit it went to the ipod screen where i was before.. as soon as i hit the map button in the botton right corner the unit rebooted.. but after that initial reboot seems to be working fine..

I had the same problem too when I first did this mod. Since then (about a month ago), I haven't had any problems!

Posted Jul 30, 2009 · 15:26 UTC#34

yea i have sat out in the car for about 20 minutes now trying to make it do it again.. it hasnt so this mod works! why still the nag screens if the unit was left on nav?? nag screen called from a different place?

Posted Jul 30, 2009 · 16:17 UTC#35

Yeah, that's the only instance where the warning screen shows. We suspect that it's called from a different spot. This is definitely better than nothing!

Hi Carver,

Can we get a 3.0 version of what you've posted above? It looks like this is a more recent version from the file that is on the first post of this thread.

Thanks!

Posted Jul 30, 2009 · 17:05 UTC#37

It's updated on the first post :)

Confirmed to work (as described it would) on stock EU version of F910BT(3.01).

Many thanks for the mod , that 'nag' screen was beginning to annoy.

Hi,

When you have time, can you please upload the files again. It seems to have become corrupted. Possibly when the AVIC database crashed.

Also, can you tell me where to add the file?

Many thanks for your hardwork!

Posted Aug 08, 2009 · 00:22 UTC#40

O-k, I'm not very smart I guess.

"for 3x version UC or EW"

Is this for a US version?

Posted Aug 08, 2009 · 02:45 UTC#41

Carver, the download is not working. I get an error saying that the file is corrupt when I try to open it.

Posted Aug 08, 2009 · 14:53 UTC#43

Should we unzip then place all 3 file into the APL folder or just place the ziped file in?

Here is NO WARNING pack

Unpack it into APL directory on your F900 with 3.01 software and you never seen any warning messages (expect while the system is startup)

+ mirror

Be happy )))

Hey, thanks so much for helping us out with the files! Just a small question though, what are the other two files (AV, Video) for? I didn't seem to see them in the original upload from the creator.

EDIT: Nevermind, I looked at your previous posts and realized it's for the reverse camera warning message.

Everything works great, no more NAV warning messages. Thank you all for your wonderful work!

Be healthy, write, if that...

I put the three file in my APL folder. No Nag screens but it automaticaly puts me to the AV screen and it seems like it takes a really long time to load. Am I missing something?

Sooooo, is this supposed to remove the warning message that appears when you start up the unit which was on the map screen before it was turned off?

Hopefully you made copies of the originals so you could put them back in and see if it changes the speed.

Worth a try,

Bud
