the speedcam audio - be it voice or beeps - is not coming out of the AVIC unless I have the sd card or ipod playing..... or during the coincidence of guidance audio at the same time of speedcam warning..... I do see the visual display everytime. any ideas???

 

 

i'm not sure if you're reffering to the speedcam voice or the audible warnings, if its the speedcam voice, i'll include the volume slider for it on the next major update, i'll look into it once i get most of the priority mods done, i'll have a minor update later tonight with fix on the setting of home, the info fix, trip computer on map and edited BMP's for looks,

i see, are those camera's included on the speedcam.txt or did you manually enter it? if it was included could you try manually adding a camera and check if the voice alert would play, i'm not too sure as to why this thing is happening, 69sickpack also had a problem where the unit reboots on a known speedcam location, i just experienced this last night where the unit rebooted while i'm on a route and had to stop and it rebooted again until i passed the camera, i will definitely have to figure this out

I have used the spud file from this site, and the txt file from this site. I have even converted the txt to spud and used it and the spud to txt and used it....... all 4 attempts give the same response.... no audio on the F500BT.... remember, our F500's mutes the HU audio and sends the Avic audio whenever neccessary, such as for ipod/SD or guidance.. the speedcam warning audio is not being output unless the audio is already being emitted from the F500.... gotta be some coding logic there.... but I am clueless

i'll check with some other F500 guru's around and see what i can i find out

When I had all 3 speedcam files my unit would reboot when I approached a camera location. I had to delete the speedcam and red light camera text files from my f90 and replaced it with a spud file and it works fine now. I look forward to future versions.

I think the car is offset back......... like the very end of the car is on the right spot, but by then the front of the car is past the "spot".............

do you know how to correct this thing? is off in this mode or in oryginal update too?

just went out for a drive and with navi mode on I was off 15-20 feet, I stoped 2 feet on stop sing before taking right and navi was showing that I`m 17 feet away from intersection

could you check how far from the car image the actual gps position is? mayba post a picture or something,

I`m on the stop light 2-5 ft before making the turn gps shows 39ft

my accuracy is off by inconsistent amounts, i dont think we'll do any better than 0-40 ft off depending on circumstance..... its the technology, maps, cpu's, atmospheric conditions, displays, software..... etc...etc..

But after I arrived, was parked in the location, the sys showed I still had 27 feet to go, and this was after sam said, 'you have reached your destination.' I then had to manually cancel the route because I couldn't go 27 more feet. I was there. Just letting you know my experience with 3.01 dl'd from Pioneer.

That would be great. I used navteq in the past (2004-2007) and believe the data is better arranged. I would have no idea how to change from the Pioneer teleatlas to navteq, but I'll try anything with some guidance. Thanks IDT for your past, and continual, help and assistance.

I have been in quite a few cities with the navi and have noticed a wide range of accuracies. Sometimes I will be sitting still and it will show that I am traveling a few MPH. I have always assumed that this was a quirk with GPS. I will mention that I did not hook up the speed sensor wire to the correct wire at installation. The manual does say that the accuracy would be affected if the speed sensor wire is not hooked up properly. Just some thoughts. I am currently using IDTs 2.0 mods and will be updating soon.

I used this sys.txt file and work great but problem occurs on the highway when exits sings are showing up, then sky moves and after sings are gone it doenst going back

installed the head unit/3.0/idt 3.0 v2 without a hitch over the weekend and loving it so far. one thing that is not showing up on the main map is the 3d button. any idea why this would be? can't stand the non-always north 2d map.

it is the map icon just right of the bullseye, it cycles "north-up" "heads-up" and "3d"

yea, I know, there just isn't an icon there at anytime. weird eh? i've tried pressing where the icon would be and nothing, it's just an empty icon space.

I too have experienced this over the past couple of days.

The icon which had been there previously was not showing up, instead there would just be the map where it should be. pressing on the area was treated the same as pressing anywhere else on the map.

I am trying to gather a reproducable scenario since this has happened on both of my units.

I can't explain it, or giev the scenario to cause it, however, I can only confirm what finger11 has reported.

I will keep looking at it.

BTW, using a stylus and rebooting the unit fixed it for me on both units.

It won't make a bit of difference.

My VSS IS connected and it still shows movement when I am dead still.

I hope is fixable, 2.0 update was dead on, 3.0 - sucks, I feel bad for people driving around in the big busy cities, when 20-50 feet is a matter of couple streets, plus we're not geting much help from street labels either

IDT can you tell we how tu turn off the turn restriction signs but keep the speed limit on?

do the highyway signs still show up with this data.zip
