Just realised my Smartzoom reverts to OFF each time I turn my unit off.Any ideas please?

 

Assuming you have tried deleting the user\userdata\igo\save files.

Look at the settings you have in sys.txt

 

Delete user\userdata\igo\save files again

startup and set the smartzoom

do another startup and check if it's working in and if not look at the user\userdata\igo\save\system.ini post your smartzoom settings from system.ini

Installed with no problems.TMC button works just fine No strangeness in my settings.........

with me i am missing some tmc settings and it doesn't work.

Haven't installed it yet, but on the first glance SYS.TXT points to device 746UC instead of 746EW, hence TMC cannot work.

If I have time I will edit the sys.txt and install today

OK, installed it and TMC works with the edited SYS.TXT! There is no TMC Button though!

There are a few things which I propably have to understand before I can comment or give feedback, but so far it looks great.

The TMC button is the only thing I'm currently desperate for. I also might change the angles for 3 D in SYS.TXT, but thats a personal preference.

Yes, I have it there as well, but as I use it quite often during navigation, thought on screen would be nice. In the quick menu you save just one click compared to stock.

That works indeed! I will put it in my next EU version.

As for TMC: I did forget to change UC to EW! Further I did some more testing. TMC settings screen works fine if you reset and use the 'old' way or through 34by151 shortcut way. But if you use the new TMC button it messes up the settings screen. After that all settings screens atre messed up even if you go there through the other ways. If you turn off and on your AVIC everything works again...

This will work fine but I would suggest using a different image. The image you are using I am pretty sure is the posted speed sign the only shows when the map data knows what the speed is on that road. I would use the "your speed" sign instead since its always displayed on the map.

I agree, not the choice I would make for myself. I have found that I don't need to look at the TMC events very often which is why I put the link in the Quick menu in the first place.

I will have new TMC code ready soon which includes, among other features, event based voice warnings and visual references.

The Voice warnings announce "TMC type" "Ahead" Ie "accident ahead", "blocked road ahead" ect. The stock code will only announce "Traffic Jam Ahead" even if it it something like an accident.

The Visual references allow you to click on the TMC event on the map screen and it will show a pop-up with all the event details. Also a text box on the map screen shows the details on the nearest Tmc Event along your route.

You may want to check the code my Aussie version as it switches the functions between TMC and MSN. this way the version is not TMC specific.

I'm quite exited after the first test drives today, looks just great.

One question: In order to speed up the sattelite fix I have set the following in SYS.TXT:

default_latitude="50.10411"

default_longitude="8.44079"

but it seems to have no impact. Do I need the minus in front of the 8 ?

any other ideas?

Since I started using mods the sattelite fix takes up to 5 Minutes, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Antenna or the wiring, as it is much better with the stock verion of the software.
