Yeah if you can't read a date/time stamp I guess it would, luckily life moves at a different speed than posts on a message board. So the answer is probably you're the only one. These are a collection of posts over the course of a week FYI. So if you can't keep up I suggest you not post.

Oh you got some nerve telling me what to do on this forum. I tell you what, as far as I am concerned, your masquerading as a forum member and a rep from Pioneer on this forum and stepping out of line with other members in the public. Let me see you do it one more time, and you wont post on this forum again.

I have some nerve? If you didn't have something positive to contribute than why did you post on the thread. You pulled two posts that were a week apart in describing the situation and tried to connect them. I am a Major in the United States Marine Corps so I have no idea what you're refering to nor do i care to get involved in whatever drama you're trying to conjour up for self-satisfaction.

I am getting ready for my 7 th deployment and wanted these installed in my wifes car before I left so it was time sensitive.

Sorry to have disturbed your little life. Feel free to ban, I won't have internet access for the next year. Look at my posting history, right around 11 months per.

Some of you people are amazing.

Carry on.

The two post I quoted were from you posted today. The first post is you telling someone to get off their soapbox because the poster called everyone to calm down with the calls and complaints to Pioneer about the availability of the upgrade. An upgrade Pioneer claimed was available days ago. You claimed to be upset because your credit card had been charged and you had not received your shipment. Then, in another breath, you claim that you have received the shipments and that they have been shipped out to customers and then you sign off as a rep from Pioneer. So which is it? Are you a customer thats pissed off at Pioneer or are you a Pioneer rep trying to keep people in suspense on weather this damn upgrade is going to ship anytime soon? Regardless, I merely pointed out that you appeared to be masquerading as two different people while calling people out and that it was causing more problems that it was helping. And then you go and tell me, a forum moderator, not to post on this forum. Well Major, go tell your Colonel to do something like that and see how far you get. I have spent time in the military as well and know you wouldn't get very far talking out of line like that. Maybe you should be a little more clear on what you are trying to convey on this forum.

Of course HONESTY would prevent 99% of the calls which you seemed to have neglected. They charged my credit card on Monday which they clearly state on my invoice ( for two of them BTW) they do when it ships. When I asked why the status never changed I was told it would ship the next day...3 consecutive days.

So get off your soapbox and deal with facts, the facts are simple, depending on who you talk to you get a different answer and that is unacceptable if its Pioneer or Jack-In-The-Box.

One in every crowd.

FWIW

We received them and they should ship Monday or Tuesday.

Have a great day,

He did saw FWIW, (for what it's worth) which makes me think he intended to quote the statement from the Pioneer rep. However I agree, it's pretty confusing.

Let's just all calm down before this turns into a massive he said/she said debate, lol.

Posted Jun 19, 2010 · 05:05 UTC#179

Wow.

This is not at all worth it so I will state for the last time....

My posts were cut and pastes I was receiving from Pioneer stating either it was shipping or going to be shipped. It's rather simple as you can see I left the Pioneer Direct at the bottom.

Since I ordered them last week and was charged and told they would ship. For the next 4 days I received a different answer and so did several other people. Someone then chimes in and says why are we bothering to call...well for me I am deploying on July 1st and so when someone says it is shipping that is important for me to know as they would be useless once I am gone. The fact they changed the story ( and i posted each change daily) it was becoming an issue of honesty . I was brought up to keep your opinions to yourself unless you have something to contribute, I was adding what I was hearing via email to two others getting conflicting information. So for someone to chime in about harrasing or bugging Pioneer serves no purposes...maybe to someone who didnt send them 450 dollars and needed when they claimed they had it. Get MY point? Some of you have the luxury of hanging and waiting, if they said they wouldnt have till July I would have waited till next year.

Then you come in and try to cherry pick posts, talk about Pioneer reps and other gibberish, look I'm sure this important to you and you're a decent guy but I have no time for silly banter on a message board. I just wanted my upgrade and I would be on my way. Telling me you will ban actually made me chuckle, I wish that held some importance right now but getting 450 Marines ready to fight and bring them home alive dominates my thinking, I just wanted this off my todo list.

Regardless, you take care and thanks for your service to the nation.

Well now we all understand I am glad that is cleared up. Please understand that the way your post were arranged, made it appear we had someone on this forum that may be intentionally trying to mislead everyone and raised concern to me. I am glad I have a better understanding of the situation now. God speed to you and I will look forward to your return here when you get back.

WOOT!!! MIne shipped yesterday!!!!

Posted Jun 19, 2010 · 13:42 UTC#182

Mine has also 'shipped'. Quotations are due to the fact that there isn't a tracking number and I haven't gotten the email from pioneer that my order has shipped which they email you when your order ACTUALLY shipped. I think they are claiming shipped because they are expecting to ship on Monday. I think they are purposefully being deceitful at this point. :-(

Posted Jun 19, 2010 · 14:49 UTC#183

yes those evil lying bastards /sarcasm

I'm pretty positive that when I do get my email, and I will check the status, assuming they give me a tracking #, it will say via the shipment companies website the product was picked up on Friday.

Posted Jun 19, 2010 · 16:30 UTC#184

yeah mine says shipped as well now... maybe won't get a tracking number since these sd cards are so small

The tracking numbers are up now. Looks like it should ship Monday.

My tracking number is up also. Since UPS doesn't have any info for the tracking number, I would agree, they are shipping Monday.

I too have received a shipping notice. I don't really care as much about the map upgrades as I do about the upgraded GUI. Maybe this has already been discussed in this forum and I have missed it, but can someone point me to a URL where I could view the updated GUI and what it will do? Will it turn a 110BT into a 120BT, so I should just look for that?

Maybe I missed it on Pioneer's site, but I was a little disappointed that when I visited the upgrade site I didn't see any images or video of the changed GUI.

As for the shipping, I noticed in the pdf file I received with the emailed noticed that it shows "CARRIER UPSN, and then a PRO# starting with 1Z which I assume is a UPS tracking number. I received this email Saturday, with my receipt dated 6/19, and I tried using the tracking # on the UPS website and got the following error message:

>>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later.

Tracking Number: 1Z5R...................

Does anyone know if an iPod touch will work with pandora link or just an iPhone? I have an internet connection in my car (android) and I can connect my ipod to that via wifi, and pandora works in ipod (not just iphone). Why wouldnt it work?

Crap! Now I will have to spend more money, and get an ipod Touch. I would like to hear for sure if it really does work and how well before I make an investment. I did want to get a larger capacity ipod, but was thinking ipod classic with a large hard drive. Now the wheels are spinning.

You could go to the Apple store and pair your android with the iPod Touch and test it out. Or you can return it within 14 days with a 10% restocking fee

Yea the only way your going to know for sure is to try it yourself. However I don't think Pandora Link is going to work on a Touch.

I have a Z120BT and also have an iPod Touch and what I found is this...YES, you can listen to your Pandora stream through the head unit via a WiFi connection, but the Pandora GUI is not available over the Head unit. I have both Pandora & Pandora/Pioneer Link apps on the iTouch. Bear in mind, I have not tried what you are suggesting, but when I am out front of my house, I can grab my own WiFi connection..Again though, I can't actually interface with Pandora over the head unit, only listen to it...

I didn't pitch a bitch over the whole Pandora thing since I don't have an iPhone, but just thought I would let you know what you may or may not experience. If someone can tell me what I am doing wrong to not get the interactive Pandora interface over the head unit, please do...I figured after reading the requirements it seemed to me that it is all relative to the phone (ie., having and iPhone)..not device specific...

Hey folks, mine has a tracking number but still no info on this item when I try to track it. As soon as I get it, I'll make an ISO and throw it up somewhere so whomever would like to try to bypass the protection can do so.

Will it turn a 110BT into a 120BT,

Yes.

Thanks!

Impressive video, I hope they have fixed some of the issues that bugged me. These are simple issues too.

For example, on my stock 2008 Avalanche LTZ system, I had presets that I could switch between that included AM/FM channels as well as XM channels. I liked alternating between our local rock station FM99 and Boneyard and Hairband on XM and it made it quite easy to do having those as preset stations that were shown together (like 1-6 across the bottom of the screen), rather than having a listing of XM presets separate from a listing of FM presets where you had to switch mode first before being able to select a channel from that mode (XM, FM, or AM).

A second issue that really bugged me was that I would set my FM presets, and none of the listings would show up. I could select each one and they would work, but the station names did not appear in List Mode, nor in Detail mode. Nor would any of the song or artist details would show like they did on my other system. Minor problem, but it shouldn't happen, particularly on a top of the line product. The video seemed to show that they still don't have station names (like FM99), instead, they simply show the channel number. The system should be smarter than that.

I'll have to reserve judgment until I see it firsthand.

There is no way to mix AM, FM, and XM presets on this unit.

Well that is called RDS and the unit has very limited if any support for it. I would not expect a change here.

Same here, I have a tracking number but it's currrently not trackable... they probably packaged them all up with pre-issued numbers that bulk shippers use and they'll all be physically shipped out this afternoon, once UPS scans 'em they should be trackable.
