I know you don't live in Belgium, but one spot I am certain of is when I switch from the A12 to the R0 around Brussels (Belgium). Although I have seen it on lots of other intersections too, this is one I take almost every day. This junction around Brussels is a clover-leaf interchange (a 4-way interchange in which inner loops are provided for left turn movements and direct outer connections for right turn movements). As soon as I get onto the interchange, technically I am no longer on a motorway. Perhaps that is the reason the software treats this differently.

 

As for the other quirk: do you have any idea as to why the traffic signs revert back to US when I switch on Large signposts?

Yeha, I've been battling this BT issue with 2 different Avic's (F500BT and now x910bt). I had posted a thread in troubleshooting before, but everyone blamed my phone even though the problem occurs with ANY phone. I'm so fed up with this thing and Pioneer's useless tech support, I'm about to turn it into a wheel chock.

That really sucks man. I have never had a BT issue. The only thing I have seen is when TMC users start msn. That breaks things.

Did you use my install script when you installed?

If you are able to comment out lines in scripts on the fly, you can comment out the lines like "Drive..." or "Prepare..." in commands.csv within the Voice_TTS-nua-eng-us-f1.zip file

Or have a various versions of the Voice_TTS-nua-eng-us-f1.zip file and switch between them.

I already tried deleting the whole lines, this causes igo to throw a fit. Maybe removing the part of the line where the sousnd file is called will work.

After the last Update I have no "Stop Route" and "Mute" Button while in routing.

TMC must be aktivated in the Settings Menu. There you can change between TMC, MSN and None (Standart).

My Problem with the Stop Route and Mute button is solved, I hat "fullscreen" aktivated in the Settings Menu.Now it look nearly perfect.

You need 3.0. You should definitely be running 3.0 anyway as there are huge system differences and 2.0 was horrible.

Just take the image.res file. Rename it image.zip and extract it. Once in there use the thumbnail view in windows to find it.

As far as the highway signs just replace the signpost_template_bg.bmp file with the one from my 2.3 mods and they will be transparent. I would put it in but my signposts have become so complicated with the big/small/blue/green adding in yet another option would create mayhem. There are already 6 signpost configurations in there now (small/blue, small/green, big/blue, big/green, split/blue, split/green) and that option would effectively double them to 12. Signposts are a bastard because the config has to be loaded at boot via using the attach command to load the ini file. Then you just show the one you want with a variable. So I would have to double each of the existing options with a transparency config using the alternate bg file. I will look at it for a later release since you and one other person have asked for it but for now I have some other cool stuff I am working on. Just takes a lot of work in ui files for options, rendering, variables, config's etc.

So long story short give me a little bit of time on that one.

just installed this yesterday finally, looks great. seems a little snappier than the last one. boot up seems a little longer though, but thats when its going right into navi. is there any way to disable all of the nag screens easily?

I am using 7zip to zip it back up and then I rename it to Image.res I do notice that the file size is about 2mb as opposed to 1.3mb even though the image I edited ended up the same size as the original. I therefore assume that 7zip is not zipping the file correctly. any pointers?

The very first boot is slow but the subsequent ones are pretty good. There is a lot of functionality in there so it takes a little longer.

What nag screens? Have you installed carvers mods? I put some informational ones in there that run once for instructions but they shouldn't run again (with the exception of the speedcam and illustrated text ones).

You sure you are not using winrar? I had the same problem when I was.

When you have a folder called image with AV/Common/Tel etc below it you should be able to right click on the image folder and say 7Zip -> Add to "Image.7z". That archive will be 1.3mb. Rename to image.res. Done.

That's exactly what I did. I'm using 7Zip 64bit in windows 7.

maybe I'll try my netbook which has 7Zip 32bit.

I just realized, I was right clicking and saying add to Image.zip not .7z

3.3 Changes on 1/17/11

• Installer now checks for disk space before starting copy process. If there is not enough space it tells you how much you must free up.
  
• Install package is now half the size.
  
• Installer installs correct speedcam files for EU users. (if anyone has Canadian and Aussie speedcam files I can add those as well if you post the spud and spdb fles for me).
  
• POI search around cursor now works (lets you pick cursor position). Also added map quick zoom buttons.
  
• POI search now has direction icon for the direction of the POI's that are returned.
  
• Long press on compass now switches between day and night but leaves auto setting in tact.
  
• Speedo screen now actually useful. Center portion of speedo now goes away and the current speed text shrinks to the corner about 1/2 mile before turn to show the map and lane info. The speed text is also map color sensitive. The screen goes back to normal after the turn.
  
• Lots of code scrubbing to get old comments and removed lines out of the code.
  

wooohooo, and I just finished my custom iPod graphics. Did you make any changes to your image.res pack?

I have not messed with the sign posts to try to make them a more green shade, that's for tomorrow. As is the 3.3 install. Thanks for making your hard work available.

TMC is enabled in Regional. Tried what gehlkaus did, but no effect.
