Is F930 also supported?

Hey everyone. Is it safe to install this new update from Pioneer? http://thesedays.cdn01.rambla.be/pioneer/AVIC-F900BT/AVIC_F700BT_F900BT_CNSD200FM_VER_4001000.zip

I just received an email from Pioneer inviting me to download it but I was worried that if I install it that it will conflict with Diaftia's mod?

Somehow, I have no idea how, I have managed to change the view on my unit to a map view. That is, it is 2d / north up. Obviosuly this severely restricts the usefulness of the unit.

I can't for the life of me find a way of changing this back to 3d / Direction up.

If someone can help that would be great

Now i have another question. I installed Retell's 3.02 firmware and when I went to install Diaftias hybrid mods it says that the destination location is full. I thought it would offer to overwrite but it hasnt. I am not sure what all I can delete safely from my flash disk on my f90bt in order to install these mods. Can anyone help??

Remove maps and poi's that you will not use.

I am pretty new to this. How do I know what ones I can and shouldn't delete? What folders exactly?

Boot with testmode, open apl2/igo/content/map and delete the maps that you will not use. I live in PA and I deleted all of the states that I am sure I will not drive to..CA,OR,NM...etc.

Hey thanks. Thats what I needed. I am not sure how much I have to delete in terms of MB (Size). I don't plan on driving in Oregon but you never know. =) I am eager to try out these changes. I haven't modded my unit at all except for the 3.02 torrent by Retell. I am looking forward to these graphical changes. Does it change the music player fonts/graphics at all?

Not sure what speed cams are. Not sure if that will benefit me in Michigan or not....

Oh one more thing, is there a listing of what all Diaftia's mods do? Looks like a lot of cool stuff according to his pics in the first thread, but it would be nice to know what all shortcuts he put in. A manual sort of speak

I'd second this. Even after months of using the mod I have very little idea what many of the settings really do, or what I am really doing. Losing the 3d map for ages only to be told you can change the view pressing the compass springs to mind.

How do you get the tilst settings to stick?

Do the MPG calculations use US or Imperial gallons?

I've successfully installed these mods with 3.02 firmware and it works great. Just deleted the Californina POI's and map and it made room.

I would like to know what all the features are though. There are a lot of menus I am not even sure what they do exactly. Overall it appears that this mod opens up a whole new set of functionaloty. I am wondering why Pioneer had all this wrapped up and locked down. Seems like they should hire some of you to design their interfaces. This is a great mod Diaftia! Thanks for your work.

It is explained in here somewhere what it does. You will have to read the entire thread. I don't know alot of the features either, I just like the mod.

anyone know how to get red light cameras and speed traps to delete? I try to delete them and they will not go away using the software? I also added one accidently at my house location and cannot delete it either.

I have something that comes up as a "can't turn" symbol on mine with an audible alert. I can't figure out where to turn it off. Any ideas what this is?

I used to know how to do it a while back but wasn't real happy with the scenery but the background on the setup looks so nice! I've searched all the settings and and don't see the option.

On a second note, what about 3D cars? I've changed to different cars in the settings and it still shows as the red arrow. Is there a location where I should have car files? Not sure about that one but would like to have that option as well. Or even make a model of my car somehow.

Same here. I installed this mod and regardless of the voice I choose there are no voice prompts whatsoever.

Sound on button press works fine.

The features were never really documented except in this thread. AutoKarta shows you the time that it would have taken to go on an old route if the route was recalculated. It will show the distance and if its Faster/Slower.

Use the plan mode screen for this. Place the cursor on the camera to be deleted or added. If no camera exists in the location the cursor is then it will show add camera. If one does exist under the cursor then it will show edit camera where you can delete. You get to the add/delete camera by clicking the cursor (target looking icon) menu button.

That is called turn restrictions. The map data was buggy and would make it alert incorrectly in the USA. I set it to off by default but you might have enabled it. I think its under warnings.

Showing sky can come up if you turn off smartzoom. When you set the sky manually by clicking on the map it will stay there. If you want to show sky and smartzoom there is another modder (Chuck88?) that is working on that.

3D cars will work with my mods. You just have to install them. I was never a fan of how it would start copying models of cars all over the place and even after I removed them from my test environment, stayed behind. I was a fan of the arrow. But feel free to copy any 3D cars mods to mine and it will work.

Voice guidance is muted by default. Turn off default Mute guidance and make sure that the TTS file you are using exists and it should work. I remember one other user saying they did not have guidance but I think it was a configuration problem someplace. If all else fails you can use the backup that I posted someplace in this thread and restore that if you continue to have problems. Just make sure to install my mods over the bakcup since I think that backup was taken with 3.4 installed.
