So, I see a lot of posts for hacking Primo onto AVIC's. I see that x910bt's need additional work and there appear to be issues with using other functions while running primo. Has anyone attempted to run the primo mods on top of this mod? Does ipod functionality not work while using primo? anyone using it on an x910bt?
Diaftia's Hybrid mods V3.6 - UPDATED: 04/19/11 - Now with auto installer.
Hello, I have two questions:
1) to create a new route is set to mute, how to avoid the automatic mute?
2) How I can modify /add the category of speed camera warnings a sap propriate to the sound?
PS:excuse my English is not very good.
Can anyone direct me on how to add Garmin maps to Diaftias Hybrid mod or is it even possible i saw LEETS info but prefer Diaftas mod he rules thanks for help
Garmin maps are Navteq I believe. Therefore you should be able to put them in the maps_nt folder and use the map changer facility to select them.
I have one question - I am sure there is a simple answer but I can't find it:
I want to see less sky in the Smartzoom mode - I go into settings and move the sliders to about 70% (from 80%) and this works. But how do I save this? Every time I restart the syatem it goes back to the original settings.
What am I missing?
Thanks.
You can alter the default settings in sys.txt to any value you wish.
Thanks, it's working fine on mu 910BT
I have used TeleAtlas maps in the past but am struggling to get the latest UK and France updates. However, I have downloaded the latest Navteq UK and France maps and put them in the map_nt folder together with a basemap.
When I go to the map change utility it shows that I am changing to SENSIS which I believe is an australian map but that shouldn't matter. However, when I do this and reboot, the system says that it is still using my older TelAtlas maps.
What I am doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Colin
I wonder whether the isssue is that the Pioneer licence is TA only. Does anyone have a licence that would run Navteq maps that they could let me have?
Thanks
Colin
I think you need a generic license.Mine runs both Navteq and TA with no issues. If you PM me with your email address I will try and send you what you need.
Thanks, have sent you a PM.

Colin
Hey Diaftia,
Could you upload the screenshots of your mod to another host ? The current one is down.
A sample video would be nice too. ![]()
Cheers!

Can anyone confirm this works with firmware v4 as well?
I must have done something wrong, when I reboot it gets stuck with the system startup message over the main menu. Can go into AV and Contacts, when I try to go into NAV then I get the warning message about it being an aid blah blah (still with startup message over) and then get stuck there ![]()
Downloading files again and going to try it from scratch. Just wonder if something I had on previously is preventing it from working? Was using v3.0x fw with modded ezrider and 2009 Navteq maps.
When the copy finished, I get a green rectangle in the middle of the screen and it becomes unresponsive and so I have to power of to restart. Also get a warning about file encryption when unzipping the downloaded file.
What I am doing:
- Download file from link in post 1
- Unzip to desktop and copy in European Navteq map files to map_nt folder
- Copy contents of the folder to SD card (i.e. route of SD has the content of the zip)
- Insert SD card and boot
- Select install EU option for F900
- Get warning about not enough space
- Delete old map files
- Reboot and select install EU option for F900 again
- Hit OK to start copying
- When copy finishes (I see a green rectangle and nothing seems to be doing anything anymore)
- Hit reset
- Loads and shows system startup message that never goes away!
Once you delete your map files, the unit will go into a restart loop. To fix that you need to replace the map files into the unit.
Yes this worked with the FX3.1 firmware update for Q4 2011 maps. Once you delete the maps on your unit to be able to fit this mod onto the unit you have to replace the maps. So if you do not have the maps then you need to download them all over again.

yes
Just install this on my F700 with 3.2. Install was simple and quick. Love the look and the features. Very clean. Great job Daiftia
Hey everybody....been away from the forum for too long, and now I have forgotten everything I thought i knew.
I own the F500BT and use it in Canada. For the last several months, everytime I try to plan a route, the unit reboots - it works fine in straight tracking mode.
Long story short, thought I would try to install Diaftia's mod, but now i can't get through the startup screen - straight to reboot. Already tried deleting and recopying the 2008 IGo maps - no joy.
Any viable suggestions welcomed!!
Maybe I'm missing it...but I don't see where you can set it for 3D view

When you are in map view just click on the compass on the top right corner. That will let you get through the different viewing modes.
The only thing I see is the clock in the very top right corner and the speed limit sign just below that...Is there something in the settings that needs to be adjusted to bring up the compass? When you are in map view just click on the compass on the top right corner. That will let you get through the different viewing modes.
Yes you can set the compass to displayed in settings/visual settings/
Could someone send me the pics of this mod so I can see it and if needed, I'll be glad to host the pics on my site for free of course and I don't plan on taking the site
down for any reason in the foreseeable future so they should be accessible for a long time.
IF they are BIG files, don't send too many at one time or it'll screw up the email. 15 megs max please.
Send to info AT georgepics DOT COM
Thanks
