Worked fine with the f840BT - used a fake 64gb card formatted as 4gb which failed. When i used a genuine 4gb card it worked first time.

is this update also for the F310bt and f900bt ?

I want to try to update the AVIC-F930BT which is in my father-in-law's car. But I don't want to brick anything, mostly because it's not my own car / navigation.

 

What I did so far: I've downloaded 3.4Gb maps from an .nzb file called "Repost Pioneer Avic 2013 EU Update F30 F930 F9310 F40 F940 F840 F8430" and from that spot I found this thread from which I downloaded only 1 file: VERINFO.DAT

The other files.....haven't been able to download them yet.

 

If I can download these files and I follow the exact steps from the first page of this thread (or the above post), will I succeed in updating the cards? And do I have to update the BT also? Sorry for asking, but I want to be sure before I start with something I haven't done before.

Personally i'd redownload the files from this thread - they have been tested and work... rather then mix and match!

What does this update on the f940 just the maps ?

As Saman said, or download 7zip its free and right klick extract here. Then you will have  UPDATE and FIRMWARE folders also CARDINFO.cif. But all these to the root of your SD-CARD.

I can confirm everything went OK on F940. Download the files in the first post, replace VERINFO.DAT, copy on SD, insert, wait to update. It took about 18 minutes. Everything OK.

I didn't back-up the files as I haven't find a way to. Risked too much..   but is OK.

When will be the 2014? Looking forward....

Finally had the time to backup and update my F40bt.

Now i'm searching the forum, but all info on how to remove navi warning screen is gone.

Anyone can tell me how to do this???

Just download them from this thread and you'll be on the save way. Even if your update fails, you can start over and reupdate until it success.

Just extract them to one folder, you'll get the whole files inside, replace the required files put on SD and start your update

Not only the maps. You'll get the ability to use the appradio funktion and other things. Also you can update your bluetooth.

I have 9310bt (VW version acting as 930 )

Have done 2012 update last year with app radio mode already

Last week I completed 2013 update as per instructions in first page , it took aprox 20 minutes

I used FAT32 formatted 8gb Sandisk class4

Also done the Bluetooth update from Bluetooth settings , thought that it stuck during Bluetooth update but finnished in 5 minutes all of a sudden.

yesterday i successfully updated my F20BT.

Before I got the Problem with the "Wrong SD-Card" Message.

The Problem was the one big NDATA file in the Update-Folder.

I downloaded it again and then i used an other Unpacking-Tool, then there were 106 Files instead this one big file.

After this the Update worked like a charm.

Is there any changelog of the Firmware-Version 5.000 or can anyone list the improvements.

My feeling is, that the whole system is faster now and the touch inputs are recognized faster.

I am French, I have a F940BT and I carefully followed all post. I downloaded all the files (5 RAR), and when I want to unzip, I get this error message after a few seconds .. unzip

Files Are Corrupt ? I use the password specified in the first page, but nothing to do! I'm FIRMWARE, Update and CARDINFO.cif, but 55 files 1.50 GB

How can I do? I read that this update was ok for my F940BT, and I really want to enjoy.
Be sure that if I can perform the update, I will donate with PayPal ..
