Thats kinda why I bought from al & eds, they apply the rebate instantly!
lowest $$ for pioneer avic d3
I think I am just going to go with the Al & Eds...the discount is applied immediately and I don't have to question whether or not I will get the $200 8 weeks later.
$529 shipped for the D3 and $699 shipped for the D3X is a pretty damn good deal...can't really beat it.

Thats what I thought. Consider the fact that you get a full Pioneer authorized warranty also. I dont think I found it any lower than that authorized.
you can get them for $637 net from www.abt.com.. they sell it online for $837 then you subtract the $200 mail in rebate. That's the D3X for that price. They are also an authorized dealer. I called Aaron there today, they are out of stock today but have more coming in early next week. The rebate has really made them sell fast. If you call him directly he said he would even save me another $37 since I would have to wait a few days. Not a big savings but nice that he did something. They always give free shipping so that makes it $800 minus the $200 rebate. I'm ok with mailing in and waiting for it so that works for me. I listed his info below if anyone wants to order one. if they mention this forum he said he would give anyone the same deal.
here's the info

What number are you guys calling to get a hold of the rebate dept . We should keep calling and calling and then call some more until they get tired and honor all sales . I bought mine because of the $ 200.00 rebate , the small disclaimer on Circuit City is a lighter color and is difficult to read unless you increase the font size .It is boarderline bait and switch and if enough of us file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission , Pioneer might be forced to change their views .
Just got mine from all and eds. Got the package deal AVIC-D3X for 699.00 out the door after the 200 dollar rebate and an extra 100 off. I dont know why they gave me another 100 off but they did.
Hi,new to this site, found it in a Vivissimo search-BTW,it is AWESOME!
Anyways, I just bought my D3 about a week ago from Cartronics Plus, they had them for $548.99 + $37.90 s/h,here is their website:
I'd been pricing this from the big box stores (Circuit City/Best Buy) for almost a year, and it was always $999,though recently they did come down a hundred or so. But I'm very happy with the price I paid.
It came in less than a week, and they offer the bundle of add-ons as well.
One other thing...I used that bypass located elsewhere on avic411...for a first time install of something like this,it went very smooth, and the bypass worked flawlessly-you guys rock!!! ![]()
Well I just ordered from al-eds for the afforementioned 529. I did second day air, as I live in [H]otlanta so 549 out the door & in my hands for the weekend ![]()
I found it on JR.com, and authorized online retailer, for $579 after $200MIR. Best I've found through an authorized dealer.
B/c JR is in NYC, i went with crutchfield b/c I got more for the dollar after factoring in the extras CF includes, and the tax I'd be paying in NYS.
Got mine from Fry's last weekend for $799 and a $200 mail in rebate
paid $689.00 + tax plus a $200.00 mail in rebate at abc warehouse = $489.00 + tax
I just ordered my d3x kit with the XM with NavTraffic and the PAC SWIPS from Crutchfield. They were $100.00 more than al-eds.com, but I was able to talk them into dropping another $75.00 to be competitive with al-eds.com. I got the whole lot with shipping for $994.97
Well the FedEX guy just dropped of the D3 from al-eds. The UPS guy came about 15 minutes later with the Double DIN kit from Crutchfield. Saturday can not come fast enough!! I feel like a 40 year old kid at X-Mas ![]()

i just ordered mine from amazon. $599 + shipping - $200 rebate.
$400 navi FTW!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you would have read you would have seen that the rebate center WILL NOT accept rebates from an online site. This has been confirmed by the rebate center to multiple people here.i just ordered mine from amazon. $599 + shipping - $200 rebate.
$400 navi FTW!
^has anyone actually tried to send in the rebate and get denied already? or have they just called and been told no. as much as ive read...no one has tried to actually do it.
its too bad that no where on their site or rebate form that it says "in store only" or "excludes online purchases".
bait and switch if you ask me...a lawyers letter accompanying the rebate will probably sway them...
on pioneer's website there is a list of authorized online dealers and Amazon is one of them.
Good luck to you
Let us all know what you find out.

I just ordered mine on amazon from seller 6th ave, both of which are listed on pioneers website. And technically, since 6th ave isn't just an online store (they have many stores in NJ), I could argue that buying it from them online wouldve been the same as ordering from circuit city and getting it that way. Anyways, I paid $632 shipped for the D3 and ipod cable. I was initially interested in the D3X, but no one i know has had good luck getting the bluetooth adapter to work well. The extra money wasnt worth it and the remote and ipod cable are pretty inexpensive on their own. So my break down - $630 - $350 (sold N1) - $200 (assuming rebate will work) = $80 out of pocket. In for further info on rebate issue...
woo thank god i got my tax refund when i did, and boguht the avic d3 at al and ed's for 530 shipped.
installed today, looks nice in my tc... too bad i screwed up on the bypass ill get crackin on that monday or something.
$632 SHIPPED for the D3X package after rebate from amazon.com I have verified with two associates from Pioneer that, regardless of the seller, any purchase through Amazon.com will be eligable for the rebate. They both answered without hesitation and both took it upon themselves to continue and tell me they realize amazon will take you through a "no-name third party" for the purchase. As long as you originally purchased through Amazon, you're good. I felt safe in my purchase.
695 shipped for D3 + Bluetooth unit from cartronicsplus.com
hope i can get it by next week~
I have mentioned 200 rebate from pioneer, and the supervisor from cartronicsplus told me it will work for sure, and they have customer got the check already from pioneer.
I doubt it!
but i will give it a try anways, nothing to lose~
im thinking about ordering one today from al and eds....is this a reputable site to order from?
