I just bought from cartronixplus for $580 shipped. I ordered over the phone because I had a bunch of questions and they were really helpful and easy to deal with. Also, they do price matching on the unit and any accessories so that was cool because I got everthing for the lowest price I was able to find in the internet. The only thing you may consider is that the unit doesn't come with factory warranty...it comes with a 1 year warranty through them. He basically told me that if you have any problem, send the unit in (you pay for shipping $8/each way) and they will send you a new unit because they almost always have them in stock since it is such a high selling item. Anyways, my unit should arrive by Friday...it looks like it already shipped.

I got mine from them, great service and price but that crappy scosche (-sp?) GM harness adapter they sold me for an extra $60 didnt work so I bought one from my friends audio shop for $200, yeah ripoff I know but I was in a hurry to get it hooked up and it works with onstar unlike the other one... and it doesnt come with the pioneer warranty but with a 1yr

The ebay prices have been nose diving over the past few weeks (I guess over anticipation of new models).

I've been seeing "buy it now" prices hovering close to the $500 mark this week. Some new, some refurbished.

I may pull the trigger on my second D3 if I see one for under $500.

I got one on a smoking deal from one of the local stores here. It is a chicagoland based store. They had the AVIC-D3X for $797 PLUS there is a $200 mail in rebate from Pioneer which made it $597!!!!! If you are out of their local delivery area they don't charge sales tax and ship to you for free. Not sure what states qualify for no tax but if you give them a call they will let you know. that would be a good find except what your are linking to at Best Buy is not the same product! It is just a D3, NOT a D3x! So you are paying more money than the $597 and you don't get the bluetooth module, Ipod adapter, and remote. Not really a good deal.

i've seen it as low as $599 at a trusted local shop

you've seen a avic-d3 or a avic-d3X at your local shop for $599...what's the name of the shop, local people might be interested in going there if that's true

you guys should try sonicelectronix.com i got my avic d3 with bluetooth and ipod adapter for 749 with free install accessories.

or you could try ABT Electronics...avic-d3x for 797 minus a $200 mail in rebate which would more than cover the install parts.. and they have an actual store and are an authorized dealer, and free shipping too!

and sonic doesn't even have the d3x on their website anymore. and you have to ship it back to them if it has a problem. cant really tell if they are an authorized dealer so it doesn't look like you would get a warranty from Pioneer.

I just received my D3 from Cartronix ... shipped and delivered the unit as promised ...

However ...

They inncluded the incorrect Metra Bezel ... Single DIN instead of Double Din. I called them and they said the would send the correct one.

Also ... they told me that they had all the parts in stock. Well ... there was no wiring harness for my 2006 Mustang included ... but I got a shipping notification today that another package was coming.

Oh well .. I was going to do the install this weekend ... but will have to defer until I have all the correct parts ...

I paid a little bit extra to go through Crutchfield but they did include the proper wire harness and other accessories for free. Plus the shipping rocked and was free of charge which made up for the price between them and cartronix.
