Been lurking as I contemplate the purchase of a D3, I am now ready to buy and, like all of you,am looking for the best deal.

I have it down to:

and this one I found on PriceGrabber:

US1Camera -has 5 star on PriceGrabber and a 9+ rating on Resellerratings:

Anyone have any experience with US1 Camera?

 

Also any of these merchants Pioneer official vendors?

I would go with SONICELECTRONIX. They have the best warranty of any merchant I have ever seen. They will exchange the unit out for you for the first year you have it if you have any problems with it. I bought mine from them within the first few days the D3 was available in February and it started acting up last month. They are sending me a brand new unit. Pioneer wont even do that.

6ave electronics is a authorized internet reseller for Pioneer products. This is the lowest price I have ever seen from a Authorized reseller.

Well got up today and Crutchfield reduced their price by $100. Plus 10% off on an accessory and free Boyo VTL400 camera. So I ordered the AVIC-D3, the BT adapter, the ipod adapter for $1091 delivered. I also had a $100 off coupon at Crutchfield so $991 for the lot.

At first I was reluctant since I know this seems too good to be true. I just went for it after seeing positive feedbacks from the buyers. I also paid thru Paypal w/ Amex so that I'm protected from fraud.

I received the unit in a week factory sealed directly from Pioneer. Don't bother contacting him if he has any available since he never responded to me when I was looking for one. I just sat patiently until he listed one.

Obviously there's no warranty either.

so has anyone had a bad experience with compuplus and their website says 1 yr mfgr warranty is it true or is it their own warranty

I ordered mine from Compuplus last month and had no problems at all. If you read the sentence you wrote about the warranty, it answers your question. Mfgr = Manufacture = pioneer. Once you get your unit, register it on pioneers website. Keep your receipt from Compuplus.

I did read the web site and thats why I was confused because a couple post pages back someone had said that the mfgr warranty didn't apply. most prices I have found for that price has been on ebay and for the price I was thinking they were not an autorized dealer. this is great news to get the warranty with for that price, as soon as compuplus comes back from religous holiday I will be ordering mine

Got a brand new D3 locally through a seller on Craigslist for $550. It was brand-new in the box (all parts included, sealed discs, sealed manuals, unused wiring, etc.). Didn't ask where he got it or why he was selling for so cheap (one could only assume).

I took the unit out of the plastic bag to inspect it and it looked brand new with no fingerprints on the screen or anything. There wasn't a protective cover on the screen, but it looked uninstalled/unused. Only problem is a lack of warranty.

I drove 45 miles to pick it up (90 miles total by the time I got back home). The guy said he still had a couple left and that he was getting all sorts of calls from others trying to purchase it. Search the LA Craigslist listings for more info. Can't give out the guy's number. Please don't PM me.

I just need to get a double-din cage now. Woohoo!

Anyone seen it any cheaper. This is ebay cheap but with a warranty.

I got mine through Pioneer direct. They have an accommodation deal through them, and certain retailers, for 400 including shipping. they also have the z2 for 800. hehehe, I lucked out.

I use to work at a place called Rex TV. We had something like that since they sold Pioneer. I have my own business now so no more of that. I don't think the D3 will fit in my car anyways. I have a 93 Lexus LS400 with an N-2 in now.

Anyone delt with Cartronixplus ? any feedback. Great price.

I've ordered from them hence the link. Pretty good service you're just comitted to buying once you click buy no real money back but I can't totally understand with their pricing. on google products which only shows reputable sellers and ebay mainly. I bought some speakers and an amp form them on closeout everything was fine.
