I purchased mine from abtelectronics

Got the D3X for 795 shipped...

Then am able to get the 200 rebate from them too making it come out to

595.

I believe that it may be more now because there was a sale at that time...

It's 837 now without the 200 dollar rebate that you need to send in.

Comes out to 637 which is a good deal, plus you are able to get the harnesses and the steering wheel adapters there as well.

they have raised it up to $837 online but if you call them they will honor last weeks pricing. even at 837 minus the $200 rebate it still a smoking deal.

Has anyone gotten the rebate when purchased from cartronix?

They only honor the coupon if bought from a authorized dealer...and after i got ripped on ebay with a d3 that didnt work right...im gunna get the package for 800 off crutchfeild...and probably sell the bluetooth module.

I dont not buying "new" big ticket items off ebay anymore..

I just bought a D3 from Circuit City for $ 649.00 . The in store price is $ 699.00 and I found a coupon code online that knocked off 7% . Now Pioneer has a $ 200.00 rebate so my final cost will be $ 450.00 . That's a hell of a deal , and I did not have to worry about dealing with an online company in case I had an issue later on down the road .

Here is the 7% off coupon

Are they honoring the coupon for Circuit city, Best Buy, Car TOys, Al &Eds Autosound, Tweeter, and crutchfield? Cause on the rebate form it specifically says not from those retailers...

Posted Feb 18, 2008 · 05:07 UTC#233

As far as I can tell ... almost all the retailers listed on the rebate form as NOT ELIGIBLE (circuit city, best buy, etc) ... have already knocked $200 off the price of the D3 anyway ...

I thought that the rebate was not good on any shipped D3X's, only if you live in the same stae as the seller?

that is correct. these half internet stores do not qualify for the rebate. it is supposed to be in store sales. meaning no trans shipping. this was meant as a boost for the small independent shops who have been getting screwed since the d3 became so whored out on the internet and in the big box stores. it is also a way to track transhippers. when you live in one state and send in a rebate form with a reciept from another state you will not get your rebate, and the seller will be in trouble with pioneer for transhipping

That's a broad statement - my rebate form says "Offer valid from purchases made from an authorized Pioneer or Pioneer Premier Dealer in the United States...". It officially excludes several dealers, none of which is the one I bought mine from, which is an authorized Pioneer dealer (in another state). What do you have from Pioneer that states they won't honor my rebate?

I've been looking into the D3 now for a bit and I luckily found this site which has answered alot of my questions. And I'm looking for the cheapest price like many others... anyways... I looked on the rebate itself through abtelectronics and then found the same rebate form from pioneer through a .pdf file.

http://www.abtelectronics.com/rebates/pdfs/pion_0d3_3-31-08.pdf

Reading the small print states...."This mail-in rebate offer is not valid at the following stores: Best Buy, Circuit City, Car Toys, Al and Eds Autosound, Tweeter, and Crutchfield. Call these stores for more information."

Nowhere in the small print does it state anything about out of state not being honored. The way it's phrased means that it is NOT honored at ONLY those stores.

edit... Just looked around on this forum more and found there's a thread discussing this

Just ordered through ABT...I tried to price match with cartronix, but they do not have the D3 x listed....just a D3 package. They did give me a huge discount though with free shipping. I also found out that sonicelectronix or cartronix is not an authorized reseller. And you can order online and get the 200 back. It is not just local. I called them directly this morning and they basically directed me to ABT and verified that you can still get the rebate back if you order online

Hope this helps someone.

Can you be a little more specific? Who did you call about the rebate? And who verified that the rebate is valid if you order online?

I called the Pioneer Rebate office (aka: SOund Ideas) and they directed me to order from Pioneers online Authorized Retailers. It was Sound Ideas that said the rebate is valid as long as it is with the Authorized retailers with the exception of those listed on the rebate form.

Call them if you want....

I appreciate it. Thanks for info. Good to hear. 8)

It sounds like local authorized retailers (ie the MisFits of the world) aren't allowed to ship ("trans-ship") their product and remain in good standing. Any authorized retailer off of the pioneer site is allowed to sell and ship nationally, with rebate intact.

I got the head unit, the blue tooth, ipod cable, the installing kit for my 07 camry, the harness, and the remote control, all for just 799.98 from www.Al&eds.com, u guys cam go check it out. They have good reputation, also, they're willing to match prices with almost any certified website. Go check them out. You can negotitate with them also.

i got mine this past week from PC Richard and Son, a local tri state store that pricematch best buy's price of 699 and pc richard is listed as a authorized dealer..so it will be 499

Posted Feb 20, 2008 · 19:08 UTC#245

Well just ordered my 2nd D3. Al & Eds has them for 529.99 shipped! Thats brand new and they are authorized by Pioneer. Thats the best deal I could find considering they are authorized.

http://www.al-eds.com/product.php?produ ... t=0&page=1

Says 599 then at checkout they take off another 70 bucks! For a total of 529 shipped!

Posted Feb 21, 2008 · 00:41 UTC#246

if thats before rebate, then thats a hell of a deal. thats less than what i pay for them

Posted Feb 21, 2008 · 00:51 UTC#247

Oh no, thats after they apply the rebate. I still think its a good deal. And fedex says it will be here Friday!

Posted Feb 21, 2008 · 18:45 UTC#248

I am thinking of picking up a D3. I called the rebate center and they told me Amazon.com is an authorized dealer and that they would honor the rebate if purchased through amazon. If this is true, you can get the D3 for $606 -200 rebate =$406!!

Posted Feb 21, 2008 · 19:43 UTC#249

That is really weird because I just got off the phone with the rebate center and this is what they told me:

"We were told to DENY ALL ONLINE REBATES"

I then proceeded to tell her that no where does it state in the rebate that online is prohibited, but she continued to tell me that online is suppose to be denied. She said that I can send in a rebate and try and see if it gets through, but it would most likely be denied because that is what Pioneer has told her to do.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with Pioneer. They said that you have to purchase the D3 through an authorized CAR/AUDIO dealer, and conveniently the only ones that are happen to be on the ban list.

Posted Feb 21, 2008 · 20:07 UTC#250

Just called back and talked to someone else and they said "No, no online rebates". I wish they would get their story straight. I knew it sounded too good to be true.
