So, as you can see, that 10 bucks can get you your own 10 pack of cds, or 20 bucks at wally world will get you 100. The point is, dont pay this guy 10 bucks for something you can do on your own.

The software was provided FOR FREE by hyperite, burning software is FREE from download.com. Just get a cdr and you're golden. And if you need help with A120 just holler, its extremely simple.

Wow! Your on a roll. It was just a gesture for the lazies and the noobs. It does cost money to ship a cd in a jewel case. Sorry you took the post the way you did. In addition some people are not as computer savy as yourself. I have read a lot of the posts and have seen some people can not do it. Thanks to Hyperite. I have successfully put on the new version and the 2 wire bypass is doing great! I had a bit of a problem with the initial software load hanging at 10%. I reset the unit and the load continued to 100%, then it actually put it on the HD with no hiccups.

Hey guys i just picked up a Z2 unit from a best buy a few days back and its manufactured date is June/07. Well i tried the update to bypass the unit and when i hit "MAP" a message comes on the screen saying that the update has already been installed. Does this mean that this unit already has the bypass update from pioneer? Maybe i'm just doing something wrong. Please help guys. By the way i was just testing the unit i havn't installed it yet.

Thanks Hyperite..You're the man.....So far on my Trip...I have log over 3,600 mile with the March date...and 2,000 mile with the June date with out any problems sofar... ( I have two unit..one with March date..and the other with June date the units that come with factory update already.

looks like i am first with this problem. but i would like to start off by saying thank you for making this possible

the issue i am having (and yes, i read all 20 pages to make sure some1 didnt already encounter this) is that i did this in a customers 2005 jeep grand cherokee. ever since then, his date and time displayed blank

now he calls me today and the radio doesnt know where he is. the map located him to the ocean. we manually change his location to where we were.. clock still didnt work but he didnt care. later same day he has same problem, he comes in, we reset the radio, drive the vehicle around so it calibrates the map and it works. he leaves again, and it puts him back out in the ocean!!

any suggestions as to why he keeps losing position and his clock/date doesnt work??

skep, since the clock and position is taken from the GPS antenna, my first guess is the GPS antenna is unplugged. Have the guy hit

MENU - SETTINGS - HARDWARE - CONNECTION STATUS

And look at the GPS antenna signal line. How many sats does he have? What color are they (yellow or orange)? If he has no sats, maybe the GPS antenna is just unplugged.

I see someone mentioned that their Z1/Z2 unit "sticks" at the splash screen. Mine does this too. Usually, it's after you hit the reset. It seems if you set all your hardware up correctly like camera, ipod, bluetooth, rear video etc. and allow the unit to callibrate...eventually it stops hanging at least for now. Do you think I should try and return the unit now or wait to see if the problem resurfaces?

Sounds like you burned a data cd v/s an image of the iso.

yea i burned it as data. how do i burn it the way i am suppose too? my burner is rixio it gives me the choice of date,music, or copy. what do i do?

Not sure. Read some of the the other posts in this tread. You may need to use a different burning program.
